Just finished Maven course "AI Evals For Engineers & PMs" by @sh_reya and @HamelHusain
Already sub'd to plenty AI materials, & generally read widely, so surprised by how much I learned from the course and how indepth it went
Next cohort Oct 7. Use link in for 35% discount

It offers hands-on exercises, expert guidance, and practical frameworks, giving you a systematic approach you can apply immediately. I have engineering background, but most do not and could follow along. I love how motivated they are, and they inspire me
I recently learned this term in machine learning called curriculum learning.
While not a perfect parallel, both curriculum learning and waitzkin progress from simplest to most complex
. @amasad I am trying to be a customer to replit and pay for the services. But, I'm having a horrible time trying to solve the payment issues. I have tried with your customer support. It's a Kafka-esque nightmare with them and Stripe putting me in a Catch 22 situation.
Can help?
Learn at 3AM🕒: pytest-cov and coverage.py don't mix.
Lost 12s of hrs. Long story.
Also, setup, pyproject, .coveragerc, pytest.ini, etc?
mo' config mo' x-contaminate
Don't add. Subtract ➖
Use ONLY: coverage, setup.cfg, pyproject.toml, tox.ini
Drop the rest
My google fu failed me and chatGPT just made up fake stuff abt gorilla study
I’m looking for a study that was abt people counting something that occurs in a news paper that was given
The answer was actually found in one of the pages of the newspaper itself
What’s the study?
If there’s such a thing as hedonic adaptation, is there such a thing as meaning adaptation?
Maybe the rate of adaptation is not as fast but still can happen right?
I wonder if this heuristic works outside of science as well 🤔
Working on a currently hot scientific problem is probably a waste of resources, and also a recipe for personal career mediocrity.
Finding a neglected but significant problem is better both ways—if you have an unusual advantage for solving it. xitter.cf/michael_nielsen/…
One advantage of stashing all my tabs is that my battery life seems to have improved
Laptop doesn’t heat up as much
I use Edge which will auto sleep unused tabs but having no tabs still beats sleeping tabs in terms of energy and heat efficiency
Replying to @nkazhin
I found an extension yesterday to help me stash all the tabs one shot

🧵 of me reducing my browser tabs
Started at over 600, but only started tweeting at < 490
Think I will start being more consistent.
Prune and tweet every 100 hrs or so

2023-06-26 Monday like a super Mario game where you find a pipe that lets you skip all the levels
I found tab stash by @momentumdash that allows me to skip my tab pruning all the way to tab 1
This is THE END of my tab pruning thread 🧵
xitter.cf/KimStacks/status/16732…
Today is the last day for this prune and tweet because i discovered momentum released tab stash
Need to upgrade to momentum plus (abt 40 usd a year or 5 usd a month)
