Today's incident reminds us of the tragic, far-reaching toll of gun violence on entire communities. The nurses hurt today have our support, and we’re here for all staff who feel the pain that ripples out from such senseless violence. We stand as a community, stronger together.
Strong work by our @Penn_Transplant team - current allocation policies have increased our use of “outside” teams….even for DCDs. Similar outcomes if it is the “home team” or if outside team utilized.
There is no difference in DCD liver transplant outcomes whether the liver is recovered by surgeons from the recipient hospital or an unaffiliated surgical team. journals.lww.com/transplanta…
