So Sad… We have lost a true icon. Dolly was kind, had immeasurable serious talents and yet could joke about herself joyously. A ray of sunshine is gone. Thank you Dolly.

RIP. Will never forget what Dolly told me about politicians. "I don’t think any of ‘em are trying hard enough... they worry more about their party than they do about the people. If we just do what we felt was the right thing... None of them are working from the heart." 💙

“I feel very fortunate to have known and worked with such an extraordinarily talented songwriter/recording artist/performer. People are going to say that Dolly was larger than life. She was, and she did it all without making anyone feel small. Dolly was full of love, kindness and understanding. We need more people like that right now.” - Simon Le Bon

So many evil people in this world and we had to lose a pure heart like Dolly Parton. Devastating day for humanity.

Global icon and humanitarian, Dolly Parton, known to the world as a beloved singer, songwriter, philanthropist, actress, playwright, and author died peacefully today in Nashville, Tennessee. She was 80 years old. Dolly is preceded in death by her beloved husband of 59 years Carl Thomas Dean (1942 – 2025), her mother Avie Lee Caroline Owens (1923 – 2003), and father, Robert Lee Parton, Sr. (1921 – 2000). A rhinestone life that shone bright enough for the world to see, Dolly will forever stand as an inspiration not only through her timeless music and prolific songwriting, but also her wit, warmth, and kindness that made us all feel like family. With all Dolly did for music, entertainment and incredible generosity for charities including her Imagination Library for children, this small acknowledgement token was an honor I was thrilled to see. There will never be another Dolly Parton. Rest now.

One of the all-time great Rock Hall moments: Dolly’s “Jolene” with Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Pat Benatar, Annie Lennox, Simon Le Bon (Duran Duran), Pink, and Sheryl Crow. Zac Brown Band held it down as the house band. Rest easy, Dolly 🤘
