Democrats didn’t lose the election because we lost touch with people. We lost because we were up against an elaborately orchestrated effort to mislead and gaslight, funded by billionaires who essentially purchased a president as though buying a new car.

My fellow Americans, Today the federal government has taken bold action to prevent an existential threat to the homeland. The FBI, in cooperation with DOJ, has executed a series of raids on people engaged in illegal cooperation with our foreign adversaries. My administration has also undertaken a massive investigation into the results of the election — not just the results, but how the American people were systematically lied to in a way that benefited our enemies, and billionaires. What we know is that the Russian government, under the direction of Vladimir Putin, called in a series of over 60 bomb threats to election locations. We will undertake a hand recount in every state that was affected to ensure the integrity of the vote. Moreover, the damaging effect of propaganda funded and directed by our adversaries, including their proxies like billionaire Elon Musk, on the American people cannot be overstated. To that end, I have directed that X, which was purchased by Elon Musk and blatantly used to interfere with the election, be seized, along with the rest of his assets, including SpaceX and Tesla to prevent further damage to our citizens. The federal government will not allow, much less subsidize, a man who would threaten our democracy. The apps Truth Social and Telegram are banned in the United States, along with the dangerous website Rumble. FoxNews has been shut down. Donald Trump and a number of his co-conspirators have been arrested for Treason against the United States. The evidence for it is public. You don’t have to search for it. As Maya Angelou said: “When they tell you who they are, believe them.” I know these may seem like extreme steps, but I have to level with the American people and most importantly to defend you. That was my solemn oath when you elected me — and I’ll be damned if I’m the president that hands over our nation to our enemies. America is not going anywhere. Thank you. —Not @JoeBiden

When you voted for Trump, you voted to put Tulsi Gabbard, a Russian asset, in charge of our nation’s intelligence. That’s what you voted for. Congratulations.

In the middle of the blame game realize one undeniable fact: Donald Trump should not have been allowed to run for office. Donald Trump should have been prosecuted by Merrick Garland and the Justice Department like anyone who did what he did. The delay destroyed this country.

As I recall, there was also no way SCOTUS would grant him immunity.
.@Neal_Katyal on Trump’s call to end birthright citizenship: “The 14th Amendment is as clear as day that there is no way he can do that. If he tries that, he will lose in court every day of the week.”

I don't fault anyone for suspecting the guy, who was criminally indicted for trying to steal the 2020 election, might have stolen the 2024 election. You'd be naive not to suspect foul play. He is the architect of distrust in our institutions, the sower of doubt in our election processes, the catalyst of our national discord. Rather than spend endless hours pontificating on why he won, the media should spend their time verifying the results. Maybe then they'll get people to actually tune in.

If there is a question of cheating, all they have to do is compare the companies code to the code on the polling computers and match it up. If there is a mismatch, then you have your answer. All polling machines in all swing states should be scrutinized.

Some strange statements from Trump and Elon have fueled doubts about election integrity. “You can just change one line”, Elon stated about the code on electronic voting machines. “I don’t need more votes, I already have votes,” Trump stated repeatedly. So why not take a look?

We need like a @mcuban to help fund a left wing media machine. I can only do so much with my wee network.

Here's the deal: In 2020, well before Election Day, MAGAs were crying "rigged election." Immediately following the election, Republicans brought 60+ "election integrity" court cases, requested (and received) hand recounts—and despite no election fraud discovered, still rioted at the Capitol and have spent four years perpetuating a stolen election lie. It is just days following the 2024 election, one where: - Donald Trump spoke several times in recent months about "already having the votes" - Elon Musk and Peter Theil (two men with more technology available to them than anyone) have been working alongside Trump and the Russian government. - dozens of bomb threats were sent by Russia on Election Day, causing shutdowns and delays - 5 swing states showed results of Dems winning down-ballot and yet a Trump victory in all (a near impossible split-ticket scenario). - The Trump campaign (always proving a complaint is an accusation, claimed a stolen election until the moment Trump was declared the winner. In an election as pivotal and Democracy-altering as this one, The Democratic Party owes the American people to fight passionately to ensure the results were fair. It is reasonable request to do a #handrecount of one of the key swing states, to make sure that the results match the Election Day reports, and to ensure the voting machines' code has not been tampered with. We won't be the other side, shouting "rigged election" despite having no proof, and we won't content that #TrumpCheated—if an investigation refutes that. But Kamala Harris, Tim Walz and her campaign, tens of thousands of tireless volunteers, a record number of first-time voters, the women of this country, and the tens of millions who voted Blue, deserve the smallest efforts to ensure that the numbers are correct. We cannot let America be ceded to those who will dismantle it without assuring it was the will of the majority. A secure election can withstand scrutiny and a blameless party won't prevent that scrutiny. Who's going to step up? #SwingStateHandRecount #ElectionInvestigation

Let us CONCLUSIVELY put to death the notion that appealing to sane Republicans is an electoral strategy that possesses ANY fucking merit. We win elections by making sure the barely literate American voter experiences the FULL weight of the suffering it just fucking voted for.

1/2 I think @TheDemocrats should just quit resisting for a bit. Let Trump voters have what they voted for and see how they like it.

2/2 People would be harmed (they will anyway), but it would show them that Dems have been protecting them from Republicans’ worst impulses all along. Might be the quickest way to unify the country.
