What he's doing is effectively using a handpicked charter commission to creare a carefully engineered question meant to eliminate a law that he doesnt agree with. It is an extremely dangerous precedent. Today it is local law 6. Tomorrow, it might be any other law that the mayor finds inconvenient. If this passes, the legislative body of this city will be reduced to a mere suggestion box, and the mayor and his propaganda outlets will have full control to do whatever they please. New Yorkers need to recognize this as the power grab that it is, and reject it at the ballot in November.
