Your decision makes a difference. For over 200 years, vaccines have protected generation after generation. Vaccines have been so successful that many of the diseases that families once feared are now rarely seen in many parts of the world. Families’ decisions to vaccinate their children, together with health workers’ commitment to reaching every child, have contributed to a 40% improvement in infant survival over the past 50 years and protected tens of millions of children from lifelong disabilities. #VaccinesWork #WorldImmunizationWeek

Thank you for the knowledge! Always been curious about the history of VICP, but never dived in to find out the details. This is helpful info for any vaccine advocate. #VaccinesWork
Vaccine skeptics frequently say: “If vaccines are so safe, why not remove the manufacturers’ liability shield?!” So let’s talk facts. In the 1980s, lawsuits over rare DTP vaccine side effects exploded (from ~9 suits/year to 200+). Companies couldn’t get insurance, some quit making vaccines entirely. By 1985 only ONE U.S. maker was left for pertussis shots. Shortages loomed. Congress passed the 1986 National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act (bipartisan, signed by Reagan) to fix it. 1/3

Accessible, trustworthy crisis support is a critical part of suicide prevention. A @harvardmed study, reported by the @nytimes, found U.S. youth suicides dropped 11% after the 988 Lifeline launched in 2022 - about 4,372 fewer lives lost (ages 15–34). nyti.ms/42tbnWS

I’m hearing this from every pediatrician I talk to. They’re tired of fighting misinformation, and it’s making many cynical. It’s sad - and shocking- to see how quickly decades (really centuries- George Washington enacted one of the first vaccination campaign) of life and country saving health measures is being dismantled. We most definitely are not making America healthier. 😔
For pediatricians, “selling” vaccination to patients has never felt more tiring or more critical. Anti-vaccine sentiment isn’t new, but its proponents are more vociferous than ever. And as of last year, one of the most prolific vectors of pandemic misinformation, Robert F. Kennedy Jr., is heading up the Department of Health and Human Services. In January 2026, under his direction, the CDC knocked the vaccines for hepatitis B from its list of universally recommended childhood immunizations, along with the vaccines that protect against hepatitis A, rotavirus, COVID-19, RSV, flu, and meningococcal disease. For decades, pediatricians have been using “the presumptive approach” to vaccination — that is, operating under the assumption that parents will choose to vaccinate. Under the CDC’s revised guidelines, the six newly demoted vaccines were recommended only for high-risk children or after “shared clinical decision-making,” phrasing that puts parents on equal intellectual footing with their children’s doctors. Before RFK Jr., “most families just trusted that there was a process behind the vaccine schedule,” says Megan Prior, a pediatrician in Washington, DC. Now, she says, “Families don’t believe things are necessary or evidence-based because the government is telling them that.” Tessa B. Scripps, a pediatrician at Mount Sinai Kravis Children’s Hospital, says sometimes she can’t break through to a family until they’ve come in for a few back-to-back visits. She says some of her patients who are resistant to vaccination are highly educated and even have medical degrees. “It’s surprising,” Scripps admits. “I really don’t know how to explain it.” Read Juno DeMelo’s full report on the daily agony and exhaustion pediatricians are facing as they convince parents to vaccinate their children: nymag.visitlink.me/lzffL9

There is still no US Surgeon General RFK Jr's pick, Casey Means, never even finished medical training, and is so grossly underqualified for the role that they haven't even held a Senate confirmation vote.

This is like that parable of the man in a flood. A rowboat comes - "No, God will save me." A motorboat comes - "No, God will save me." A helicopter comes - "No, God will save me." He drowns and asks God why He didn't save him. And God says, "I sent you two boats and helicopter!"

Florida Surgeon General says the state will end vaccine requirements for kids in school and wants to end ALL mandates: “Who am I to tell you what to put in your body? It’s a gift from God.” Innocent children with ignorant parents will pay the price.

📉25% LOWER ALL-CAUSE MORTALITY! Wowzers—one of the largest long-term safety studies ever undertaken—offers the clearest answer yet: “Among 28 million French adults aged 18–59, those who received an mRNA-based COVID-19 vaccine were less likely to die in the subsequent four years than those who remained unvaccinated, corresponding to a 25% lower risk of death from all causes.”—and works even better among young adults—⬇️35% lower risk for ages 18-29!
