Unfortunately, 2.2 will not be coming in October as promised and is delayed to November. It just wouldn't feel right to release an update this big without stable servers and proper bugfixing. I tried my hardest to make it in time, but some work took longer than expected. All I can do is apologize and do my best in these final weeks. I'm really looking forward to sharing all these new features with the community. /RubRub

Surely death markers get batched before being sent to the server… because if the client sends a web request every time you die then imagine playing the daily level at 1000x speed and getting IP banned for eternity 😭😭

Anyway sorry for doomposting over the past few hours. I hate seeing the game I grew up with go in this direction. I hope yall know that this comes from the heart and I want GD to succeed and I don’t think this is the right way to do things ❤️

Who knows maybe there are some reforms around the corner that’ll make things better but as of now I don’t like the direction the game is going in and I hope we can steer this ship away from that iceberg it’s about to hit

I’m very proud of the GD community for this being one of the very few times where everyone is unanimously uniting together and agreeing that this is a piss terrible change and should be reverted …not that this has ever accomplished anything but cool that it happened!

Something about this RobTop announcement feels very eerie. The only positive I can come up with for a massive purge of the mod team is that every send has significantly more weight, and I wonder if this was done to reduce the sheer number of sends per day. (THREAD, 1/6)

I don’t see how this solves anything… the game grew 4x in size over the past year surely there are better solutions than “cut the mod team in half” I guess too many levels were getting sent but adding another lane to the highway doesn’t fix the problem 😭
