Most people here know me from aviation and space. What you may not know is that music was always the dream. Some dreams just take longer to catch. This one finally found me. 🎸

I can hear those hot guitar licks right now. Wanna learn a little bit more about @KiahErlich, listen to the latest edition of @AirplaneGeeks it will be released on Wednesday, October 14, and you will be able to hear our post Incidental show interview. She’s a Renaissance woman.

Finally got to meet the man, the myth, the legend! And touched to have the honor to perform for him tonight with Alien Ant Farm. 🤘🏼🎸
Finally had a chance to meet the amazing @KiahErlich and hear her band Incidental. She is absolutely amazing! And what a great sound.

Touring with a band means limited showers, interstate string changes, and apparently buying more guitars along the way. 🚌🎸 @prsguitars found a Dave Navarro signature guitar in Denver that has quickly become my main stage work horse. @DaddarioandCo NYXL 10-52s #tourlife #girlswhorock #guitarist #touring

Words cannot express the gratitude I feel for the opportunity to finally live out the dream I’ve carried since I was a kid. I walk the halls of these venues wide-eyed, often with tears of joy, still trying to take it all in. After a heartbreaking start to the year, and another unimaginable heartbreak at the start of this tour, we continue on. Joy and grief are somehow sharing the same space. We carry HB Abels with us into every venue, every performance, and every mile between them. I kept the promise I made to my younger self: I found my way back to music. And I’m going to be present for every second of it. 🖤

Dancing with my guitar is a survival mechanism. This new lead is so rhythmically challenging that moving is the only way I can keep time. Sometimes you just have to trust the groove. 🎸

We all start somewhere. The Big Picture was the first @incidentalrocks song I learned. I started on acoustic, wanting to learn the song at its roots. Someone told me I had “the pieces of it.” I held onto those words until I found the rest of the missing pieces. At the time, I was also trying to find myself again after one of the hardest chapters of my life. I didn’t know where I was headed, I just knew music was bringing me back to myself. Looking back at this video now, I don’t just see someone learning a song. I see someone learning to believe in herself again. Here’s to trusting the process, even when you can’t yet see the outcome. 🤍

A nation shaped by service and sacrifice. 🇺🇸 A hot and muggy day in D.C. 🥵 This desert rat cant handle humidity.

Throwback to the Honeywell Bluegrass Band. I kept a Seagull acoustic in my office, and every so often the mandolin would make an appearance too. As much as I love playing rock and metal, bluegrass flatpicking and fingerpicking are still some of the most technically demanding and fun styles of guitar I’ve played. Then try singing at the same time. 🔥 Just watch Billy Strings. 🤯

I’ll take a red one, white one, and blue one. American-made only. Which is why I love my PRS Custom 24-08 and McCarty 594 🇺🇸 🎸
