vibe coding project idea (someone build this coz i don’t have time):
i've followed finance youtubers like Akshat Shrivastava, Ankur Warikoo, CA Rachana Ranade, and others for years. they regularly make market predictions and macro calls - but ive never seen a proper evaluation of how accurate those predictions actually were over time.
the insight is to: build a public accuracy leaderboard for finance youtubers. we just scrape their youtube videos, extract prediction related statements, and objectively compare those claims against real market outcomes across multiple years (ex: 2022–2025, and earlier where possible). score accuracy and rank creators by how well their predictions matched reality.
a simple impl:
> for each youtuber, get relevant prediction/analysis videos
> fetch video transcripts and identify prediction statements with timestamps
> use exa ai (or similar) for web search + historical market data lookup
> use the free gemini API key to semantically compare:
what was predicted vs what actually happened later
> assign an accuracy score per video and aggregate it per creator
> in frontend: keep a leaderboard sorted by accuracy score, creator detail page showing: youtube video link, transcript snippet with timestamp of the prediction
actual market outcome, clear explanation of why the prediction was accurate or not
