Having a big heart will always be the best and worst thing about me. I care deeply, give without thinking twice, and go out my way for people because that’s naturally who I am. The problem is everybody doesn’t appreciate that kind of love, and some people will take everything you give if you let them. I’ll never regret having a good heart though. I just learned everybody doesn’t deserve it.

God, I’m asking You to lighten every burden I’ve been carrying quietly. Take away the anger, the hurt, the disappointment, and anything I’ve been holding onto that’s disturbing my peace. Remove whatever is delaying me, distracting me, or keeping me from becoming who You called me to be. Give me the strength to release what I can’t change and the discernment to recognize what no longer belongs in my life. I don’t want to carry what You’re trying to free me from.
