Now I get to hang with ALL of my friends! The high school friends (DGS) and the college friends (@AmyMarxkors and @ChrisRongey) which is sometimes weird at first but everyone gets used to it.
Hahaha.
Starting Monday 11/28, @KevinWheeler94 will be moving in w/ @DGSonKMOX 1p-5p on @kmoxnews.
@AmyMarxkors & @ChrisRongey remain on "The Show" from 10a-1p, and will stick around with Dave, Kevin, @rachelz1120 & @2andahalfstars for the 1p-2p hour.
Let's go!

A tale of two economic systems.
When the topic is college athletes’ compensation, it’s out of control and chaos and needs congressional intervention.
When the topic is college coaches’ salaries, it’s the market at work & can’t restrain it.
Good topic covered by @novy_williams:
OPINION: College football’s biggest programs have been unwilling (or unable) to curb coaching salaries. As a result, coaches like Penn State’s Matt Campbell may be too expensive to fire.

Two massive clock screw ups in the year 2026...
Come on guys, this stuff has to be cleaned up. I have no dog in the ND-BYU fight but this can't happen. Apologies after the fact are useless.
(That's not even to mention the pass interference that wasn't called on that last play.)
I agree with Herbstreit that this dynamic makes it tougher for SEC teams.
Here's the thing:
SEC members CHOSE to expand by adding more monster programs. So are we supposed to feel sorry for them because they made things tougher by grabbing the bag?
This is NOT a shot at Dodgers fans...
Why was it a bigger story that there were empty seats in Tampa for ALCS games than when there are empty seats in the largest market in the country for NLCS games?
Can’t wait to hear all the LOUD NOISES!!! about what the World Series ratings are going to be without the Dodgers. 😂
If you don’t work for Fox or the MLB league office why would anyone even care about World Series ratings?
One series with small markets won’t take big TV deals

The Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, and Cleveland analytic departments.
These teams are teams that are definitely not obsessing over analytics.
We’ve spent years talking about the Dodgers payroll, but are we asking the WRONG question?
Milwaukee, Tampa Bay, Cleveland… year after year, these organizations find ways to compete without spending like the giants.
At what point do big-market teams stop obsessing over analytics and start POACHING the scouts from these organizations?
Maybe the biggest competitive advantage in baseball isn’t payroll. It’s knowing how to IDENTIFY TALENT that can compete when the lights are the brightest?..

The Dodgers look old and exhausted, while the Brewers, Rays and Guardians stay refreshed and ready for a chance at a World Series title! @KevinWheeler94 and @MattPauleyOnAir discuss why both of these things are happening.
Buddy…come on now.
Andrew Friedman TB —> LAD
David Stearns MIL —> NYM
Chaim Bloom —> TB —> BOS —> STL
That’s just for starters…
Is this just “say random stuff without paying attention” season?

Make it stop!
Mendoza and Stephen A actually think the outcome of a single postseason is going to change the collective bargaining process?
FFS, people. Think a little. I realize Stephen A knows jack shit about MLB but Mendoza actually covers the sport and should know better.

Hmmm...I don't hate it but I'm also not sure I love it. The hoops tournament is going to 76 teams next year so I don't think 24 is "too many teams" but it would have to change a bit of the regular season, right?
Breaking: The College Football Playoff is nearing a deal to expand to 24 teams, sources tell @PeteThamel.
The new format will start in 2027 and is expected to come together in the near future, pending final approvals.
I know the Brewers are really freakin' good, I know Ohtani is hurt and I know this can turn on a dime but...
The Dodgers' bats are looking old and slow.
Cards have 3 Gold Glove finalists for 2026 - Winn, Wetherholt and McGreevy.
Posted some thoughts on how this can play into the Cards' next playoff run.
