Day 7 Update for our Jury Grid. All of a Sudden look out! Minotaur got unanimous praise from our jury. Sheep in the Box, Paper Tiger and The Unknown are seemingly the biggest disappointments of the #Cannes2026 Competition so far. Fjord is also getting a lot of praise.

A letter, signed by Indy the Dog from ‘Good Boy,’ was sent to The Academy calling for the inclusion of animal actors in the acting categories. “I have been deemed ineligible for the Best Actor category. Apparently, I am not a good enough boy for you.” (variety.com/2025/film/awards…)

I have been neglecting Twitter for some reason these past days, my bad. Highlights of day 3 & 4 were: Conclave, Anora, A Real Pain, The Outrun, The Substance, Last Swim and No Other Land. The last one is my current favourite of the fest. Day 5: Sex, Blitz & Monsieur Aznavour

That's Day 1 of @FilmfestGent over. The more subdued movies, Small Things Like These and Julie Keeps Quiet, were my favourite while the other two movies, both French, were... okay and the other was pure mid.
