DC had a “Mamdani” mayor before Zohran himself was even born.
His name is Marion S. Barry.
He is DC’s Mayor for Life.
He is the reason DC became the epicenter for Black entrepreneurship and excellence.
Happy Juneteenth! Proud to celebrate freedom and community with my son at the Ward 7 Juneteenth Parade. Congratulations to Councilmembers Janeese Lewis George and Robert White— your leadership inspires us all. Onward! ✊🏾
