Every independent analysis who has looked at the Gaza war comes to the same conclusion: systematic, deliberate, unrestrained targeting of civilians. And this report highlights how Israel specifically targets *children*. You cannot fathom the depths of horror.
Israeli authorities and security forces deliberately targeted Palestinian children, resulting in genocide, crimes against humanity and war crimes in Gaza, and war crimes in the occupied West Bank, an independent UN inquiry said reut.rs/4eD9CfA
I think a lot of people also don't realize that just looking at civilians, Russia has killed *far fewer* in an almost five year war in Ukraine than Israel did in a three year campaign in Gaza.
According to the UN, 17,000 civilians have been killed in Ukraine. 74,000 people have been killed in Gaza, the majority women and children. Even taking into account that Israel considers every male between the ages of 8 and 80 to be Hamas, the absolute numbers suggest a far higher civilian death (and casualty) toll in Gaza.
To be clear what happened here, a group of Israeli terrorists - mostly if not all men - beat a middle aged woman for 10 minutes and sent her to the hospital. The reason it is getting any coverage in the corporate media is she was working for the Washington Post. Aside from the fact that she was wearing vest clearly marked Press, there is something particularly disgusting about a group of men beating up a woman. But this is the evil that Palestinians face every single day.
And this is only the tip of the iceberg on why there is huge pressure in the Democratic Party to disassociate from the Israeli regime, which we continue to fund and arm with a blank check. Money is taken out of your paycheck to send to thugs in Israel that bomb babies and beat women. @hakeemjeffries, @SenSchumer and much of the Democratic Party leadership are doing everything in their power to keep that money flowing.
“Let me die,” American photojournalist Heidi Levine repeats to journalists Jasper Nathaniel as they try to outrun masked Israeli settlers who attacked her on Friday while she covered the olive harvest in the West Bank village of Abu Falah, near Ramallah.
Around 80 settlers attacked Palestinian olive harvesters in the village, AP reported. The Palestinian Red Crescent said it treated six people injured in two attacks in Abu Falah.
Levine, a freelancer for the Washington Post, told the Committee to Protect Journalists that the settlers knocked her down and kicked her for at least 10 minutes, even after she identified herself as an American journalist. They stole her camera, phone and bag. She was eventually taken to a hospital in Ramallah.
"The IDF provided cover, with tear gas and machine guns, while the settlers beat" Levine "nearly to death," Nathaniel wrote, adding that soldiers then shot a Palestinian bystander and aimed their guns at and shoved paramedics trying to treat him. AP photos and circulating videos show Israeli soldiers standing over a wounded Palestinian man after they shot him.
Andrey X, an activist also at the scene, said a Palestinian man "saved our lives from the settler-terrorists who attacked the olive harvesters and journalists” armed only with a slingshot.

To be clear, the only reason I was able to reach Heidi was because young Palestinians provided cover with rocks against machine-gun- and tear-gas-wielding settlers and soldiers. It’s those kids, not the settler terrorists, who the IDF was hunting after the attack.

“Testicle completely mutilated, surgically removed” — this is from a document from Soroka Medical Center regarding a prisoner who was brought in after a “rubber bullet shooting incident.” Documents and testimony show that firing rubber bullets - including at close range and inside cells - has become common practice in the Israel Prison Service. A second prisoner underwent surgery to fix a fracture in his leg, and a third was operated on only after his release, because he was struggling to walk.

Jack Smith is no longer a Special Counsel investigating Trump and he's free to do whatever he wants, including attending concerts. But it is in poor taste to wear a "No Kings" shirt. "No Kings" is the anti-Trump, DNC-approved protest group. While this may be cathartic for Smith and anti-Trumpers, all it does is confirm preconceived notions of Trump supporters that Smith was motivated by partisanship. A better choice would've been to attend the concert but wear a non-political shirt.
Kushner was very likely guaranteed a pardon by Trump and that is part of why he feels free to conduct a grotesque corruption campaign to line his pockets as much as he can before 2029. Biden's pardons very much helped grease the wheels

This here actually is quite damning: the Dem establishment said Biden had no role whatsoever in the destruction of Gaza
But Biden freely admits he could stop the massive US support for Israel “with the snap of a finger”
He didn’t, and sent arms even in his final weeks in office
The day that Biden grew so angry at Netanyahu that he nearly cut him off: "He was just completely fed up with everything and I think at that moment he was ready to just say, 'I’m done,'" @brett_mcgurk recalls as he releases "Brink," his memoir of Gaza war. nytimes.com/2026/10/01/us/po…

It’s not my club, but I genuinely could not be more on board with renewed papal patronage of the arts in response to AI slop, enshittification (apologies, Your Holiness) and the relentless concentration of commission-level wealth in the hands of survival bunker-building techbros.
In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.
Trump would be right to ignore these war mongers. The US kept relations with the USSR through half a century of a Cold War. There is a dangerous, hot war in Europe - keeping relations open with the Russians is the best way to manage risk

Remember how much the corporate media freaked out over and analyzed Trump’s foreign policy for Russian influence, even as he expanded NATO, increased sanctions and lambasted construction of Nordstream 2?
BREAKING: Trump, when privately asked not to go to war with Iran just four days before it started on Feb 28 says "Yes, you’re right. But in the end, we all die anyway. So it doesn’t matter," per Tucker Carlson in a new NPR interview.
Tucker responded "but what about our kids and our grandkids and like our country?" Trump said "Ah" and did not respond.
He also said Trump agreed that the war was not about the nuclear file and was being pushed by Israel for regional hegemony, to weaken the GCC, and to push US bases out.

No child deserves this. All children are children of God. He loves them all.
Our American tax dollars and weapons are used to bomb and kill many innocent people, not just terrorists.
It must stop!!!
