Without an observer, we cannot establish that the universe exists, nor can we establish that it doesn’t. An observerless reality is inherently unverifiable from within consciousness. Therefore, claiming with certainty that the universe exists independently of observation is itself an assumption, not an observable fact.
Pupils
My pupils will never see palm trees
They won’t be restfully awake
I’ve risen to a level down on my knees
A relentless toil I can’t escape
The longer I live, the shorter the days
Filling my life in ways I won’t say
In times so uncertain, despite all I see
My timeless devotion finds no harmony
I shatter my own dreams each day I awake
Drowning in doubt I cannot escape
All of this weight, all this uncertainty
Has me standing tall, yet looking down on me
KW
I found my life in a dream
So fond a dream to me it seems
It never was an open book
But closed to mindless memories
Awake the pages turn to dust
Morning light reveals the rust
Yet in my life the story sings
Of all the lives I almost lived
The spark that never made the flame
The roads I walked in silent shame
A quiet fire that warms the dark
A fading light to make my mark
