Today, I had the great privilege of presenting my Letters of Credence to the President of the Republic of Moldova, Her Excellency Maia Sandu. It was an honour to meet President Sandu and to witness her leadership as Moldova advances on its path toward European integration. 🇨🇦 🇲🇩

Moldova knows firsthand the pressure Russia is willing to exert beyond Ukraine’s borders. With @MihaiPopsoi, I discussed defending our democracies against foreign interference and advancing a just and lasting peace. From welcoming Ukrainian refugees to working to bring home children deported by Russia, Moldova has shown leadership. Canada stands firmly behind its sovereignty and security.

As a career foreign service executive at @GAC_Corporate, there is no greater honour than being asked to represent your country abroad. Humbled to have been appointed today as Canada’s Ambassador designate to Romania, Bulgaria, and the Republic of Moldova. https://www.cana

Estonia is a close friend to Canada — and on the front lines of our Alliance's collective defence.   Our two nations are united in purpose: to secure NATO on all fronts, defend against hybrid threats, and meet Russian aggression with strength and resolve.

Inspired day with the graduate students of @UWaterloo Master of Public Service program @UWaterlooGSPA and Director @ALanoszka. Sharp minds from this group of future municipal, provincial and federal leaders. Their kindness at laughing at my poor jokes was most appreciated.
