Rephrase: She removed "women's" definition of beauty.
Do not include men in this narrative of wigs, weaves and makeup. We do appreciate the occasional face beat and effort, but that's not our "definition" ⁰of beauty. Far from it.
She didn’t just remove her makeup. She removed society’s definition of beauty.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The celebrity reactions are spliced in from other events, they were not reacting to her performance.

You said it very well, that's why you can't be a politician 🤷🏿♂️ Germany would still be at War with the world if that was the mentality of Politics. Its not Desperate Housewives, its Geo-Politics.
See why i can’t be a politician? They were after his head and he escaped to South Africa. He wanted to make up and flew back to Zimbabwe; they arrested him and locked him up for months without trial. He was then acquitted and applied to be readmitted into the same system that feels like a cult because it goes after its members if they see things differently.
Now he is wishing the head figure “happy birthday” using his totem, which is usually a sign of the highest respect and admiration.
Me, if you abused me in that manner I would want us to be even.
It's fascinating how Batswana are celebrating along with the region, yet they are actively fighting President @duma_boko for wanting to abolish the death penalty. A very interesting g people indeed. Congratulations Mr. President, your fight for Human Rights has been consistent 👏🏿
It looks like Botswana went all out to make sure one of its citizens would not be executed on foreign soil.
Many will remember the case of Lesedi Molapisi, the Botswana national who was sentenced to death in Bangladesh after being convicted of a drug-smuggling offence.
After years of uncertainty and efforts by the Botswana Government to save her life, Molapisi has finally been released.
The Botswana Government says her release followed sustained diplomatic engagements, legal support and an appeal by President Duma Gideon Boko for clemency and the commutation of her death sentence.
Botswana has thanked the Government of Bangladesh for granting Molapisi clemency, saying the decision reflects the strong relationship and cooperation between the two countries.
After spending years facing the possibility of execution, Lesedi Molapisi is finally free.
Unfortunately most Batswana are ignorant to the role of a President, especially one of a desert nation with a low population and one major natural resource. So they won't understand most of your very valid points. Just use one point:
P28 Million brought in P47 Billion. Simple.
Hon Mohwasa gave some more context on His Excellency’s 39 trips in the 20months at a spend of P28million of the P40million budget (so 2 trips a month on average & at 1.4million p/m).
1. Expenditure has been lower than budget
2. The trips have yielded investments from Oman & UAE of over P47billion
3. State visits are import for leaders to meet face to face and form bonds/ties
Botswana is the epitome of why Western Democracy will not work in Africa. They complain about corruption. Due diligence is fulfilled, the corrupt are asked to answer for their crimes, the Villagers call it a witch hunt 🤷🏿♂️ Not everyone deserves a say in matters of Governance..
Have you not read BETP? Has Vice President Ndaba not announced that the Govt Investment Account which UDC found at P2 Billion has since grown to P6 Billion? Did the MoF Perm Sec not recently state that all State Debt to BoB has been paid off? I mean, what country are you in?
Replying to @Official_UDC_Bw
That's a good thing but summits and other things never yielded results before what's difference are u doing that will help the country to recover from this economic challenges we find our country in?he is trying yes which is a good positive thing but do we guard on our spending
Inasmuch as The President is accountable to Citizens, his choice of Cabinet is purely his own. That's "his" Team that fullfils his mandate & vision for the Nation. Selection is entirely his prerogative & only outright corruption or incompetence can lead to public pressure action.
The Noah Salakae saga raises a very uncomfortable question for President Boko. If ministers are going to be judged on performance, why does the same standard not apply across Cabinet? 🤔
Why should Salakae face pressure while ministers presiding over struggling sectors remain untouched? Health under Stephen Modise. Basic Education under Nono Kgafela-Mokoka, with the continuing shower and procurement controversies. And what about the other ministries where delivery is clearly falling short? 🤓🤓🤓
You can't be preaching accountability when it's politically convenient and ignore underperformance when it involves your faves.... Pius Mokgware should be on his way out as well. Those 200k jobs he owes us are soon to increment to 300k 😭😭😭😭
Gun for the work! Fall in love with the work, not the clout..
A$AP Rocky reached out to designer Allan Peters to ask about revising one of his brand logos, but the potential collaboration quickly fell apart after the private message was shared publicly.
“THIS IS JUST DISTASTEFUL, WELL I GUESS WE WONT BE WORKING, BEST OF LUCK BUDDY,” Rocky wrote in the comments. 👀
The Madlanga Commission was actively investigating crimes linked to Cat who had already been arrested facing trial. Cat agreed to implicate criminal networks.
The PAC is a fact finding mission.
Two very different things. The PAC doesn't have judicial/prosecutorial authority.
If you had inherited The Botswana Government / Administration and everything that came with it in 2024, how would you have navigated the waters differently? What would you have done to positively impact the Socio-Economic situation in 20 months?
