I don’t think I’ve met anyone with the magnitude of diverse impact. Barney was the last on my schedule when I interviewed at @MSKCancerCenter and later my neighbor for the 5 years. His wisdom and kind advice inspired the beginnings of my group. Role model is an understatement.
Barney was a true inspiration. I’ll never forget interviewing @MSKCancerCenter - after an exciting discussion about science we could collaborate on, he told me his story about the release of Bergen-Belsen & my tears just started flowing. It was incredibly moving for me.
