We should be able to ride our bike in all circumstances; racing, commuting, for fun, and come home safe and sound. People shouldn’t have the fear every time they get on their bike! Moments like this really make you wonder why we do it

The three of us have ridden all over the UK and Europe and never experienced worst conditions. Idiots over taking onto on coming traffic, round bends and over hills. Stopped at the red light and a driver almost hits my dad as they weren’t paying attention

Cyclists aren’t the problem. The problem is the people that get behind a wheel and think they own the road, don’t care about other road users and think they can be distracted by phones etc and think they can still control their vehicles!!!

Cycling is a dangerous sport, but unfortunately, it's only always on days like these that most people realize it. Another name on a way too long list. All my thoughts are with his family who lost their son and brother on a way too young age. #cycling

I will never forgot in 2018 I raced home from work to catch the end of the stage. Got in the door and my dad had paused it at the start of the climb, and we sat together (me still in my cycling kit) and got to watch Geraint Thomas win in the yellow jersey
