I don't use Twitter enough anymore to justify having two accounts. It was an interesting experiment started 10 years ago to see if having a professional only profile was a good strategy. Just feels duplicative now. Follow me @rkerestes if you'd like to stay in touch.
It's always an amazing opportunity to gather with folks from all over the country and talk public policy. Thanks to @NCSLorg and everyone who attended the #NCSLsummit in Indianapolis.
Thrilled to have connected with several state legislators about the role of #science in policymaking and elevating #PeopleofScience at the #NCSLsummit this week. Looking forward to Louisville next year!

As a @McCourtSchool trained MPP working in science policy - I can't even begin to tell you how excited I am to see Dr. Fauci's appointment. And how jealous I am of the current students who get to learn from him. What's the policy on alums auditing classes? ;-)

The McCourt School is honored to welcome Dr. Anthony Fauci to the @georgetown community!👏 Joining as a Distinguished University Professor at @GUMedicine's Division of Infectious Diseases, he will also hold an additional appointment at the McCourt School. georgetown.edu/news/dr-antho…
We live in a world of such deep misinformation that respected scientists - leaders in their fields - are stalked and harassed by those who have fallen prey to lies. And the science tells us myth-busting doesn’t work. We need to get to folks before the misinfo sets in.
Ugh I just was stalked in front of my home by a couple of antivaxers taunting me to debate RFKJr. Of course I was looking my Sunday best in our brutal heat wave. What is it with people? Well at least Houstonian’s now know I support the team…#GoTexans
Today I co-signed an opinion piece focusing on the impact of #STEM on #NM's economy. The majority of the state's #STEMProfessionals do not hold a bachelor's degree. STEM provides good high-paying jobs to folks regardless of their level of education.

One of the things marketers should know by heart is to cater to your hard support and ignore your hard opposition. Target must clearly know where their hard support lies. I haven’t seen their research but my brand strategist gut is that it’s not people who hate LGBTQ+ folks. – at Fernandina Beach, FL
I recently spoke to #WyomingPublicMedia about how the majority of US #STEM professionals don't hold a bachelor's. We have to break down the educational attainment stigma and value all paths and labor--our economy and individual prosperity depend on it. wyomingpublicmedia.org/natur…
Is it just me or is Twitter particularly glitchy today? Can't tweet on some browsers, my tweets aren't showing except under replies.
If you’re coming down to #ShrimpFest today stop by the @KNBFL booth and get free, fresh, filtered water. Reusable, refillable, recyclable aluminum cups available for a $2 donation.

Science is US Executive Director @KerestesScience joined @MelissainJax on @WJCTJax #FirstCoastConnect this morning to talk about how #STEM #Jobs are growing in #Florida. Listen here at the 35:30 mark: news.wjct.org/show/first-coa…
Fascinating. A growing body of evidence supports putting employees' well-being first is a great way to increase productivity & output. And doing so by shortening the workweek and offering remote work options is also better for the planet. That seems like a win all around.
Planet earth loves the 4-day workweek, too @entrylevelrebel on.inc.com/cX5wejk
Fun fact: #Florida is a #STEM state. STEM jobs grew by 12.4% - twice the national average - over the last 5 years. And 36% of the state's GDP is directly attributable to STEM. New data from @Science_Is_US here:

.@KNBFL volunteers pulled an estimated 2500 lbs of trash out of the #StMarysRiver near the Dee Dee Bartel boat ramp Saturday morning. And that was just at one site working with St Mary’s Riverkeeper on the annual clean-up. #DoBeautifulThings #AmeliaIsland – at Fernandina Beach, FL
