Our friend & partner, Larry Meyers has passed away. I met him in 1970 when I was a young professor & he was a student at Texas Tech. We became life long friends. He was one of the best persons I’ve ever met. He was one of the best government relations people to ever serve in DC. Our thoughts & prayers are with his wife Kris & family. Kent Hance

This is a great appointment by Governor Abbott!
Congratulations to Robert Howden on his appointment as our next Secretary of State. Robert is a dedicated public servant, and I know he’ll lead with integrity, faithfully uphold our election laws, and represent Texas with distinction.
I’m grateful to Gov. @GregAbbott_TX for this appointment and look forward to Robert’s leadership as he oversees our elections and the many important responsibilities of the Secretary of State’s office.
