The reason the original Star Wars trilogy succeeds while the prequels & sequels largely fail is because Lucas was writing myth; the films are steeped in the folklore & fairy-tales he grew up reading, and few screenwriters today know how to write myths because few read them.

Turns out Supergirl sucked and is a massive flop. Only earning 37.1 million domestic in its opening weekend.

This man is to DC what Kathleen Kennedy was to Star Wars.
#Supergirl stands to lose $100 million after opening to just $68 million worldwide. The DC Studios tentpole cost $170 million to produce and roughly $120 million to market. A source close to “Supergirl” says the movie would need to gross $300 million to break even at the box office. Some project the film's losses will be closer to $80 million if ticket sales can manage to hit $200 million. “This was always going to be a tough hurdle for DC and Warner Bros. because Supergirl isn’t a character that has ever created an event-level blockbuster,” says analyst Jeff Bock of Exhibitor Relations. “Audience perception of ‘Supergirl’ was not good. This is just a case of the film wasn’t good enough to become an event.” variety.com/2026/film/box-of…

The era of the cynical "deconstruct the hero" story is dying. It's tired, worn out, and—worst of all— poison to the soul. Anyone in Hollywood looking for what will move the needle in culture over the next 10 years, here's your template:

THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU is a shockingly inept film. The story is episodic meaninglessness which neither illuminates anything new about the characters or the universe itself. It’s clearly just a repurpose of season four scripts into a feature film. So disappointing.

Wow, never thought about that. Is Hulk not only the best good guy of all time, but the best bad guy? To do both is once is generational talent.
Is “Hollywood” Hulk Hogan the greatest Bad Guy in Pro Wrestling history?

Not every Star Wars project needs to be like Andor. But every Star Wars project should have a good story, especially when it’s the first Star Wars movie in almost a decade. I’m seeing too many people defend Mando and Grogu by saying it’s just a fun movie. I didn’t realize fun meant nothing of substance. We can have fun projects with good writing guys pls stop settling for less that’s why we keep getting shit. HAVE STANDARDS PLS 😭
this is the actual problem everyone expects every star wars project to be EXACTLY like andor or have the same tone star wars cant just be fun anymore

The Mandalorian and Grogu is a truly Retarded film, I mean brain breaking dumb with boring characters that can't even emote or talk. It's absolutely consistent with the quality we've come to expect from Disney Star Wars. Full review out soon!

Mandalorian and Grogu It's boring as fuck and pointless. It has no reason to exist other than to prove, once again, that Disney Star Wars is completely dead. It's just random quests and attempts to give Baby Yoda "cute" moments for social media reactions. Fuck this movie.

The Mandalorian and Grogu is three filler episodes of a bad streaming show made into a bad streaming movie. Best described by @MauLer93 as a filler movie. RIP Star Wars

Stop letting David Filoni cook. This is the most inconsequential, empty waste of time. This is worse than Rise of Skywalker.

Mark Hamill never liked the way Luke Skywalker was portrayed in THE LAST JEDI He even created a whole new character for him to inhabit while filming. Here is Mark himself explaining it. He was NOT Luke Skywalker, he was Jake Skywalker. Please stop spreading misinformation.
if you complain about an iconic character actually growing and changing and reflecting instead of just blindly adhering to frictionless dogma then idk what to tell you, anti-Last Jedi people are some of the dumbest 'fans' out there
