With a high of just 60°F, today was DC's coolest day since April 25th. Continued moisture feed off the Gulf means a wet night ahead and another wet day Saturday.

Bit of intensity in that line coming together to the west. I-81 corridor from Front Royal, VA to Hagerstown, MD should be ready for some heavy downpours and the threat for some gusty winds. No warnings just yet, but wouldn't be shocked to see one go up for part of this line.

Wednesday is an interesting one in the DC region. Deepening wave passing over the DC region. Morning round of showers seems likely, but several models show afternoon destabilization and a round of severe storms. Many times this second line struggles though. Marginal risk for now.
Happening now: tractor trailer on fire after an apparent accident on 270 southbound in MoCo near Rockville exit.
SUV smashed through the concrete median…possibly hit by the tractor trailer.
