New: The board of directors overseeing the California High-Speed Rail voted to strip spending powers from the project's CEO, no longer allowing him to manage contracts on his own.
This, after the HSR Authority allowed consultants to blow taxpayer money on questionable travel
Ever wondered about the risk inside of OSS dependency packages?
I did and built something to get visibility into them, allowing Humans or Agents to understand the risk surface inside the packages.

I’ve been documenting the working configuration patterns I’ve seen when building 2-node DGX Spark clusters, some hints and explanations can be found here: github.com/Kdurazzo/dual-dgx…

The CEOs of major insurance companies sent Gov. Newsom a letter, warning his wildfire liability plan will cost Californians customers more and destabilize the state’s insurance market again.

I’ve built an OSS software dependency checker for analyzing risks in software prior to install, you can run it via CLI, API , browser or via AI agents. Right now it supports packages written for PyPi or NPM. If you’d like to beta test, shoot me a DM.

Today's imaging of the Sun. Captured in 'White light' (amber images) and CalK (purple images). Seeing wasn't fantastic today, so I was limited to 1x and 2x imaging, One of my 3x images (purple) was ok, not up to my standards, the others were horrible.

The Sun was very active today, you can see the contrast in the different filters;
- the purple images are using a Calcium K band filter
- the amber images are using a Herschel Wedge
- I also got some amazing prominence images.

Today’s Sun: Sunspot AR4493
This photo is of the Suns photosphere, taken on a 127mm refractor, using a Herschel Wedge and a monochrome camera (asi1174). It’s a stacked image of 2% of the best frames from a 5 minute exposure. Colorized in photoshop using color #ffcc00.
Rubber strings in our @MountainMikes camping pizza! Meal ruined, now spending extra cash to buy other food. Have never seen anything like this in a pizza @MountainMikes, thoughts? #pizza
I started building autonomous and workflow agents with #openclaw, built a mirror of my harness in @NousResearch #Hermes and now I’ve migrated everything to Hermes. If you’re not building on Hermes, what are you even doing?

Ok weirdos, here it is. This Giveaway is all about firearms training. The prizes:
A copy of @BenStoeger187 new book on dryfire training
A set of simulated distance targets for your training at home
2 Glock 19 Dry Fire training magaines from @textacdesigns
A used @TREXARMSinc AIWB G19 holster with sidecar.
This gives you everything to start carrying and training properly. Just add Glock 19. In all the years I have been in and around the firearms world I often hear the same excuse for why people don't train or carry appropriately. "I already spent $600 on the gun and $200 on ammo. I don't want to spend another $100-300 on that stuff if I don't have to." Ok fine. Now you don't have to.
Let's get this one out there as far as we can so maybe some normies can get some chances to win. If a post about vape cartridge components can get 300k impressions then this should do better. Let's help somebody get trained up.

A couple images of today’s Sun, the purple image was taken of the lower chromosphere, using a Cal-K filter and the amber image of the photosphere was taken using a Herschel wedge from @LuntSolar . Both taken with an @ExploreCS ED127 and a @zwoastro ASI174mm camera.
