DOs are continuing to break down doors all across health care, & many times it’s TCOM grads. Dr. Kendrick Lim recently became the first DO to be accepted and graduate from the emergency medicine residency at Carolinas Medical Center. Congratulations, Dr. Lim! #OsteopathicMedicine

See what happens when #ThePitt meets the Queen of Hearts. This EKG was shown on the Pitt and interpreted as negative. But we caught it and put it through the queen. She of course diagnosed the OMI perfectly.
What happens when you don’t trust your interns, or the Queen of Hearts? #thepitt

This one is really good: When ACS care is very delayed, "STEMI metrics" can be perfect. And how specific is Queen of Hearts? hqmeded-ecg.blogspot.com/202… @PendellM

I’m seeing a lot of posts about rank lists. My biggest piece of advice is trust your gut and the vibes. You’ll get good training a lot of places, but what will get you through the hard days and nights are the people and the culture of a program.

Emergency medicine is a lifestyle, not just a job. You’ll see the sickest patients, the worst luck, and the darkest corners of humanity—& still be expected to smile, move fast, and get it right every time. A thread on what they don’t tell you about EM. 🧵
