Alongside the large amount of physical destruction caused by this week’s storm, a considerable amount of water was pushed into houses and government buildings by the hurricane force winds. This weekend we will be attempting to dry everything out #TristandaCunha #storm #weather
Preparations for the TDC lobster fishing season are well underway!
Commercial lobster fishing began here in 1949 & has been the backbone of our island’s economy ever since. Our fishermen have been busy repairing ropes, pots and buoys, ensuring everything is ready!

SA Agulhas II has completed her annual visit to TDC after a busy few weeks of cargo work, meetings, and community events.Wallace from Fortuna, met with the Council, factory teams, fishermen, processing staff and later stayed on to see a full week of lobster fishing in action.
