Do you know why those sexually assaulted prefer the term "sexual assault survivor" over "sexual assault victim"?Because not only do we have to survive being assaulted, but we have to deal with those who blame us, those who don't believe us, then accept we likely never get justice

The Liberal government should be held accountable for Canadians losing faith in the parole system.
The Public Safety Minister may dismiss these as allegations, but these are real stories involving real people and having a real impact.
Watch and let me know whether you agree or not👇🏼

At what point do we start asking why people who sympathize with Nazis or believe being gay is wrong feel drawn to the Conservative Party?

This debate has gone on for 96 minutes and it is still totally unclear what the BC Conservative is. Four leaders in 10 months. Zero plans in 96 minutes. #bcpoli
No one has an abortion at 28 weeks for the Hell of it.
Third trimester abortions are extremely rare and are almost always driven by tragic and severe medical issues.

Replying to @ChrisPequin
Have you asked how many elective abortions were completed in the third trimester last year? That answer might help you figure out this is a bullshit policy that is meaningless.

Details matter: what Lorne is saying here is that he’s either going to cancel fall sittings of the legislature or somehow he will remove the right for confidence votes for 60 days.
Why? Because the Legislature and LG are supreme. 1/3

So pleased to see a commitment from the BCNDP to a first-in-Canada perinatal mental health unit, expanded coverage for menopause care, the launch a province-wide women’s health strategy, and the inclusion of sexual and menstrual health services.

A guy who looks like THAT wants to commen on women's bodies and fashion? If Gillis wasn't a C-List celebrity, women would walk away when he would walk up to them and most definitely cover their drinks at the bar.

Katy - trauma and violence can impact us in so many ways. I'm the first to recognize that.
But two days later you reposted someone saying "Islam is a literal rape culture" and just last month you reposted "New Yorkers got a jihad-loving mayor."
These posts are all still up.
As a woman and a rape survivor, I was brought to tears reading the horrific accounts of the UK grooming gang scandals. Young girls were subjected to unimaginable sexual abuse, while authorities at multiple levels failed to protect them.
I was heartbroken, horrified, and angry. I abhor the people who perpetuated that violence justified by their extremist ideology.
I took down my original post within hours because my anger was directed at the extremism used to justify these horrific crimes, not at Muslims or their faith.

A reminder to be kind to volunteers who knock on your door or call during an election, regardless of their political party. You don’t have to agree with them, but you can still be respectful. Kindness costs nothing. #bcpoli

Whenever I feel embarrassed about my political career, I just think, “what would a medium ugly, really average mediocre guy think?” And then do that.
If John Rustad can run for the seat he got forcibly removed from with a straight face, I can walk around life with a straight face on the idiots I supported.
