American military intelligence had a mixed beginning: rough on execution, but outstanding in rhetoric. What @Yale taught patriot Nathan Hale. @NASorg @J_Gould_ amrev250.substack.com/p/but-…

Charlie Kirk has been assassinated. For years, Kirk warned that rising campus antisemitism was more than “just speech.” New data shows he was right: 1 in 3 Stanford students now say violence is justified to silence views they oppose. Radical groups like Unity of Fields are training students in violent tactics, distributing sabotage manuals, and openly glorifying terrorism, all while being welcomed onto campuses. Administrators look the other way, leaving Jewish students and faculty vulnerable. Kirk’s murder is the tragic endpoint of this failure. Universities must act now: - Ban extremist groups - Enforce the law against true threats - Protect Jewish students and faculty The line between rhetoric and violence has been crossed. Higher education must decide: sanctuary for learning, or incubator of hate. Read Samuel J. Abrams's latest: mindingthecampus.org/2025/09…

𝐔𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐠𝐨'𝐬 $𝟏𝟎𝟎𝐌 𝐂𝐫𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐬: 𝐒𝐞𝐥𝐟-𝐈𝐧𝐟𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐖𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐬 Despite $3B+ in revenue, UChicago is: - Cutting 150 staff positions - Freezing 19 doctoral programs (mostly humanities) - Drowning in $6.3B debt (70% of endowment!) The university wants to blame Trump, but the real problem goes back years: - Massive borrowing for failed ventures - Diverting tuition from teaching to admin bloat - Playing venture capitalist instead of educating students - Cutting liberal arts while chasing profitable patents Now students pay more for larger classes, fewer professors, and AI-taught language courses. When elite universities abandon education for profit, we all lose Read @J_Gould_'s latest: mindingthecampus.org/2025/09…

Plato could have planned all his dialogues when he was young. Here's Nabokov on his autobiography: Although composed in an "erratic sequence" from 1936-1951, "his essays "had been neatly filling numbered gaps in my mind" following an order "that had been established in 1936 ..."
