Good read. Suicidal empathy.

I think he’s incredible. A fab human.
He’s married his childhood sweetheart, with whom he has four kids, donates to armed forces and mental health charities, and runs his own mental health foundation. He doesn’t drink or smoke and has been caught up in zero career scandals, which is rare for a 32-year-old footballer with his fame.
And that’s not even mentioning that he’s both his nation’s and boyhood club’s all-time goalscorer. He has 6 Golden Boots, 4 of them in the Premier League and the World Cup.
Despite all this, Harry Kane is one of the world’s most disrespected and disliked footballers of all time. Bizarre. He’s everything a child should look up to and is now England’s all-time caps holder, soon to be its all-time goalscorer. 🏴☠️👏
Thank you Kelvin, David and Nigel

While Egypt was building the pyramids, Britain was already running a mine. ⛏️🇬🇧
In a forest in Norfolk, the ground is covered in hollows. Hundreds of them. 🌲
The Anglo-Saxons thought a god had made them. They named the place after him. Grim's Graves. 👁️
They were wrong. People made them. 🙌
No metal. No machines. Just deer antlers. And muscle. 🦌
They dug straight down through the chalk, over forty feet. Then crawled sideways in the dark, by hand, to reach the best black flint in the land. 🕯️
Up top, it was split into axes, arrowheads and knives. The tools that ran a whole way of life. 🪓
They didn't dig one mine. They dug over four hundred. For five hundred years. 🏔️
When archaeologists finally climbed down, the antler picks were still lying on the floor. As if the shift had only just ended. 😶
You can still climb down a ladder into one today. 🪜
They teach you Britain's story starts with the Romans. Not that we were digging mines while the pyramids were being built. 🇬🇧
We were makers before we even had a name. 🙏

Here’s a documentary about the days after Diana’s death leading up to the funeral with a very different account from what Charles Spencer says.
1. Confirmation from Tony Blair aides and palace officials that CHARLES SPENCER wanted to walk behind Diana’s coffin alone
2. Most of the tension was coming from the Spencer family and CHARLES SPENCER
3. Prince Philip wanted to protect his grandsons and reminded everyone they were grieving the loss of their mother
4. Charles Spencer and Diana were not speaking at the time of her death
