Stop piling unnecessary pressure on men. The fact that he’s a man doesn’t mean he’s automatically responsible for providing whatever a woman asks for. What if he simply doesn’t have it at that particular time? What exactly is he supposed to do? Steal? Being a man doesn’t make money magically appear. She could’ve asked someone else, yes BUT she could have worked for it too through her job or by getting a job.
