As a remote worker, the joy of getting paid by a client shouldn't disappear because now you have to figure out how to turn that money into naira. Receiving crypto or foreign currency payments has become pretty easy. Cashing out? That's where the wahala starts. P2P, finding a buyer, waiting for payment, dealing with scams…Sometimes your funds are delayed for no good reason. That's why I was interested in trying @walllet_com. @walllet_com brings receiving, spending, investing and cashing out your crypto/foreign currency into one app. I tested out the cash-out experience myself and here's what the process looks like: → Select Send → Choose your Local Currency → Select Nigeria → Add and verify your email → Convert your crypto → Added your bank details And that's it. The equivalent in naira landed in my bank account within seconds and I observed that the conversion rate is higher than most fintech apps I have used before. The setup was also pretty straightforward. You can create a new wallet or connect an existing one, and the wallet is backed up to your Google account. You can also receive crypto or any currency by selecting Deposit, choosing the asset and sharing your payment address with whoever is paying you. @walllet_com supports 100+ crypto assets including your favourite tokens. For freelancers and remote workers in Nigeria, having a simpler bridge from “I just got paid” to “the money is in my bank account” is an answered prayer. This is your sign to try @walllet_com. 19 months working in the AVAX ecosystem. In the entire time, I never found a single platform that lets me off-ramp AVAX directly to Naira. So I did what you have learned to do, I learned to juggle. One app for crypto conversion, another for bill payments, another for cross-border transfers. None of them connect, none of them cover everything and every time I switch between them, I'm one wrong network selection away from losing money permanently. The painful truth? My spending power is limited not because I don't have money, but because of what form it's in and where I live. That shouldn't be how money works and this is why @SliqPay was built. A thread🧵on @SliqPay so you stop juggling.

you are reading about a web3 project, things are going well, and then you hit a word. “Sequencer”, " Delta-Neutral”, “Intent solver”. you don’t understand what it means, but you don’t stop. something shifts, you are now skimming, hoping that context will fill in the gap but it usually does not. if you’ve ever interacted with a web3 project before, then you’ve definitely experienced this. that moment is not a failure of your intelligence but a failure of resources because they are shallow or assume you already have an engineering background. that gap in understanding is exactly why you cannot evaluate protocols, read whitepapers critically or tell a well built system from a fragile one. there needs to be a bigger shift towards collective user-friendly education because the more you know these concepts for what they are,the more you can flow, decode and evaluate web3 projects. this is why i’m starting an educational series called “Know Your Infra” the Know Your Infra Series is part of the shift towards user friendly education. this is a series about the infrastructure behind the applications you use, fund, build, and write about in Web3. Not just the apps themselves, but the systems underneath them. why Infra? because those technical terms are mostly infra & these infra layers determine whether a protocol is fast or slow, secure or fragile, scalable or stuck, trustless or quietly centralised in ways most people never notice. that is what this series will focus on. every week, expect simple and healthy explainers that break down concepts, introduce key projects, answer real problems or questions and create a working mental model you can always refer to. who is this for? ~ anyone who engages with crypto seriously but does not have an engineering background. ~ developers moving to other ecosystems. ~ investors and analysts who evaluate projects but want to stop nodding through the architecture section of whitepapers. ~ writers and researchers who want to go deeper. ~ community members who want to actually understand what they are participating in. Why this is not is hype. I’m not here to glaze up any project and tell you if their token price will pump. I’m analysing systems, why it was built a certain way, its tradeoffs and possible opportunities. we will start with the fundamentals, why projects can have different architectural designs down to other narrative specific infrastructure, etc. since this is for my community, some topics and case studies may be open to community suggestions. by the time you have read through this series, you will have the kind of background that makes you research faster, make conversations around how apps work and possibly vibecode your ideas too. you will not need to start from scratch every time you open a whitepaper. the pilot episode drops this week. Turn on notifications so you do not miss it.

why do the unemployed keep being unemployed and the hired keep getting more jobs? I think it's a simple law of nature. Some call it the Matthew Effect, but I call it the Law of Momentum. a lady can stay single for so long without anyone ever asking for her first name but guess what, immediately someone starts talking to her, more and more guys keep coming. why do you think that your friend keeps having more and more boyfriends and talking stages? yup, a law of nature. those who are currently in the game stay in the game. you have to fight to enter the field and stay on the field. people that currently have a job are applying themselves, applying their knowledge, learning what works what and doesn't work in practice, they are doing practicals and not learning theories and building real time experiences. so immediately they signal that they are willing to take another role, another company swoops in. I don't know if hirers think people with gaps in their CVS were just sleeping and doomscrolling, maybe they were. I think the rationale is that hirers think they've lost their mojo, lost touch with how things now work, etc. and to an extent this is true, redundancy can make you forget what you can do. Well, if you're Jobless and trying to fight your way back into the field, here's what you can do: > Upskilling in public: I'm not just learning data analysis in private, I'm upskilling in public. Learn and upskill in public so potential hirers know you have a job gap, not a knowledge gap, and that you can adapt to industry trends. > The "Chewing Gum" Strategy: I'm attaching myself to projects I respect, providing value, volunteering, solving their problems, pitching in public and staying visible until my capacity is impossible to ignore. You may not be on the playing field yet, but you have to start acting like it till you get in there. I'm Keenye The Unusual, a research analyst & communications lead. My focus is on solving your two most crucial problems, which are revenue and community, through strategic data-backed communication. Kindly reach out if you need my services, or mention my name in rooms. Follow @KayDUnusual as I continue documenting publicly and sharing everything I learn along the way.

One of the best things that happened to me as a writer in this space was finding what I love writing about. I've always been one to learn new skills and do challenging stuff so I made sure to always go out of my way as a writer. I wrote the things I didn't understand. I explained protocols that gave me migraines the first time I heard of them, like I joined the team to build. And every time I did this, I felt a sense of satisfaction that I couldn't really explain. That's where my love for writing technical content started. I did more and more of it till I started calling myself "The Infra Interpreter" Since discovering this love for infra and technical explainers, I was no longer just trying to learn skills because of what other people were doing, I started trying to learn skills that amplified this love for explaining technical concepts. In the past 6 months I have mastered research and research analysis, I am currently an intermediate level researcher and today I am openly applying to learn Developer Relations at @DevrelUni. Getting into Devrel Uni will significantly transform my journey because it will equip me with the necessary skills, knowledge and experience to approach developer and non-developer focused communication in web3. This will be an opportunity for me to move more out of the "just a writer" box and explore developer relations and communications in this space. This is my official application and I hope I have the privilege to mention @DevrelUni as a principal force in my success story. cc: @buzea200
