It’s nuts and we will stand with our Muslim broers and sisters 🤷🏾‍♂️
I don't understand the sudden discrimination against Muslim South Africans and over halaal food. I actually prefer buying halaal food products, it’s usually great quality and value, and goes through additional checks on ingredients, preparation and handling. Why is this now a problem?

Erica Gcasamba, 29, Missing After Reportedly Requesting Uber in Greenstone Concerns are mounting over the disappearance of 29-year-old Erica Gcasamba, who was reportedly last seen in Greenstone, Gauteng, on Saturday, 24 October 2026, after requesting an Uber to travel to a salon. Her family is appealing for public assistance as efforts continue to establish her whereabouts. Erica Gcasamba’s Disappearance: What We Know According to a missing-person notice, Erica was last seen between 10:00 and 10:30 on Saturday morning at a residential complex in Greenstone. The salon she reportedly intended to visit has not been identified in the information provided, and her movements after she was last seen remain unclear. Her family is urging anyone who may have seen her or witnessed anything that could assist the search to come forward. Identifying Features of the Missing Woman Erica is described as approximately 1.5 to 1.6 metres tall, with black hair and brown eyes. She reportedly has several distinctive tattoos, including stars around her neck and collarbone, wording on her chest, and a floral design on the inside of her right arm. The missing-person notice also identifies a Renault Sandero with registration number FX17TCGP as a vehicle associated with the reported Uber trip. The circumstances surrounding the vehicle and Erica’s journey have not been independently established. Police Appeal for Information Residents of Greenstone, Edenvale and surrounding areas are being asked to assist with information that could help trace Erica’s movements on the morning she disappeared. Uber drivers, salon employees and anyone who may have encountered her are particularly encouraged to contact the relevant authorities if they have information that could assist the investigation. Anyone with information is asked to contact Edenvale SAPS on 011 553 8600 or Detective Monareng on 072 117 0015 or 074 021 0111. Public Assistance Could Prove Crucial As the search for Erica continues, members of the public are urged to share verified information with the police rather than circulate unconfirmed claims about her disappearance. Finding missing people requires timely reporting, thorough investigative work and cooperation between families, communities and law enforcement. Anyone with potentially relevant information should contact the authorities directly to help establish what happened to Erica and support efforts to locate her safely.

BREAKING NEWS 🚨 Cachalia Seeks Court Interdict To Stop March And March Protests In Durban Acting Police Minister Firoz Cachalia has approached the High Court seeking an urgent interdict to restrict March and March Movement protests in parts of Durban, including around the Department of Home Affairs Refugee Reception Centre on Che Guevara Road. The case, **Minister of Police v March and March leader Jacinta Ngobese-Zuma**, is scheduled to be heard on Friday, 30 October 2026, at 10:00. According to the amended notice of motion, Cachalia wants the court to prevent Ngobese-Zuma and other members of the movement from organising or participating in marches, processions and protest convoys within the defined area of eThekwini Municipality. The proposed restrictions cover the Durban CBD, Berea and the vicinity of the Refugee Reception Centre, including Che Guevara Road, formerly known as Moore Road. Cachalia is also seeking an order prohibiting Ngobese-Zuma and the other named parties from committing, encouraging or assisting acts of violence, intimidation and property damage. The conduct listed in the court papers includes assaulting or threatening members of the public, looting, setting fire to or damaging homes, businesses and vehicles, attacking the Home Affairs premises, and coercing people to close businesses or leave their homes and workplaces. The application further seeks to prevent the obstruction of entrances and exits or the use of threats and intimidation to deny people reasonable access to buildings and premises. The matter is brought as an urgent application under Rule 6(12) of the Uniform Rules of Court and references the Regulation of Gatherings Act 205 of 1993. Cachalia is asking the court to issue a rule nisi requiring Ngobese-Zuma and the other named parties to show cause why the requested restrictions should not be confirmed. The court has yet to decide whether to grant the relief sought. The application does not seek a blanket nationwide ban on protests. Instead, it targets specified March and March activities within eThekwini, particularly around the Refugee Reception Centre. The legal action follows repeated demonstrations by March and March outside the Durban facility, where the movement has campaigned for stricter immigration enforcement and raised concerns about foreign nationals working in the delivery sector. During a protest on Tuesday, Ngobese-Zuma said the movement had been marching for 21 months and accused the government of attempting to prevent it from exercising its right to protest. Ngobese-Zuma and the movement have described the proposed court action as an attempt to curtail their constitutional right to protest and have called on supporters to attend Friday’s hearing. The application comes amid heightened security in Durban, following recent tensions surrounding protests and violence linked to immigration-related grievances. The government announced the deployment of 510 South African National Defence Force members to support police in maintaining law and order in the city. The case remains pending, and the requested restrictions should not be treated as an existing court order.

Oh no, there 135 Spur restaurants in Johannesburg and 4 of them are Halaal, and this apparently makes them exclusive to Muslims — this is so unfair to Twitter user “Odes @Labelaka” who will be poisoned and die if he doesn’t eat his Spur pork ribs. So unfair! 😡
Replying to @Vhoyde
Spur in Sunninghill is halaal so no pork ribs or rib burgers, that's making it exclusive to Muslims. Burger King at Kaylami Corner is also halaal, finding out while in the drive thru and realising we are being excluded because of 1% of the population creates a pushback.

Hypothetically, let’s say Messi and Ronaldo had a son together. Then Zidane and Ronaldinho had a daughter together. Then Messi/Ronaldo’s son had a kid with the daughter of Zidane/Ronaldinho. That kid is Kagiso Smithslayer Rabada.
