The first shuttle to launch after the Challenger shuttle disaster was the Discovery.
To lift their morale, Robin Williams recorded a surprise wakeup message for them.
"Gooooood morning Discovery!"
The reaction in the control room is priceless.

Teachers are tired of receiving ‘expert advice’ from someone NOT in the classroom…
Same goes to the person who was only there for 1-3 years OR the one who hasn’t been there for 15+ years.
RIP social media puppers

Labradors - double coated, waterproofed & insulated - were bred from St John’s Water Dogs, carefully selected to retrieve fish from the semi-arctic waters of Newfoundland and Labrador for their fishermen owners.
Here are 3 of them, begging to get inside to escape light drizzle.

Just in case you need to hear this, you're important.
You don't need to be important to everyone. If you're important to a dog and a few good humans, then that's all that matters.

They offered up to a $4,000 signing bonus. And our district is already one of the better paying ones. But the few people still at the teachers college are going to the suburban school district next door for a lot less money

☀️ & wet 🐾 here in #Edmonton with a moderate nap index. Unusually light squirrel activity. They may be plotting an uprising. It's a great day for sniffing out rabbit 💩 on soggy grass. Some puddles are deep so corgis may need snorkels. I'm Kuno with the #Yeg #Weatherdog Report

I often watch a talk one gives, and wonder, "does anyone else see what I do?" As someone who has had to prepare lectures in academic settings, or make presentations in corporate settings, the hubris that so many of them show is just so jarring.

Spoke at a youth conference where they did a game giving a quote and 5 dudes had to guess whether it was from the book of Lamentations or a Taylor Swift song.
It was fantastic.

What's a phrase in education that grates on you? One of mine is referring to 'your why'. It just sounds so infantile.

I also see it as yet another way to silence the real concerns and problems teachers are facing. It avoids talking about real stuff while inducing guilt in the teacher for wanted something better for their students.

Okay but "remembering your why" is what makes teaching so painful. We remember why. And it's no longer reality. It hurts.
Sooooo basically buzzfeed?
