Asad Aliweyd, the spokesperson at Wednesday’s press conference, is the executive director of a nonprofit ordered to repay $1.1 million to the state for “fraudulent claims,” according to KARE 11’s own reporting.
This was not mentioned in any Minnesota mainstream media report from yesterday, in case you were wondering.

Federal prosecutors have charged 22 people who collectively received approximately $99.2 MILLION in fraudulent proceeds through the organization.

Recovering money is important. But recovering money AFTER alleged fraud has occurred is not the same as preventing it.

JUST IN: We've learned that charges have been dismissed against at least one defendant in this spring's Somali gang shootout outside Grand Casino Arena during Metro State's grad ceremony.
The case against Omar Abdulwahab Mohamed was being prosecuted by Mary Moriarty's office, which claims lack of evidence to meet burden of proof.

Yet another reason why the coward isn’t running again.
Minnesota Governor Tim Walz is under fire for issuing an executive order allowing illegals to drive semis in his state after a man with a driver’s license from El Salvador struck a firetruck at nearly 70 miles per hour.
The four firemen are currently at the St. Olaf Medical Center recovering from their injuries.
The driver was cited for speeding and reckless endangerment and let go — even though the State Police had been informed that ICE was on its way to detain him.
They purposely let him go. One vote is more important than a truckload of firemen.
He should be prosecuted for this.

“You can see my car is full. All these here are absentee ballots. Can’t you see? Look at all these. My car is full.”
300 in one haul.
When asked who fills them out: “People who work with Ilhan and other candidates… they work for them.”
Cash changes hands. Elders get visited. Blank or open ballots leave the building. Minnesota law limits how many you can carry. Federal law bans the pay-to-vote scheme. None of it mattered.
This is the same machine still fighting every single effort to require citizenship proof and clean the rolls. The same people who call election security “disenfranchisement.”
They never stopped. They just got quieter about the receipts.
Pass the SAVE Act.
Clean the rolls.
End the harvest.
