1998: Ireland cut Capital Gains Tax from 40% to 20%. Revenue exploded €245m → €3.2bn.
From 2009–12, CGT was raised to 33%, reintroducing the lock-in effect.
The evidence is clear, the path for @SimonHarrisTD is obvious:
