Great day in the classroom at ISDE Barcelona 🎓⚽
It was a privilege to teach today on the Master in Sports Management and Legal Skills, delivered by ISDE together with Barça Innovation Hub. The programme is ranked among the best online Master's degrees in El Mundo's 2026–2027 ranking.
My session, "Agents & Intermediaries: A Practical Vision from an Agent," took the students beyond the regulations and into how the business really works: negotiations, representation, and the realities of the transfer market.
44 students from across the globe, sharp, curious and full of questions. They are the next generation of leaders in the sports industry, and it was a pleasure to share my experience with them.
Many thanks to the Academic Board of ISDE for selecting me to teach the 2026/27 cohort.
Looking forward to seeing where these students take the game next. 🌍

Biggest issue is that VAR didn’t once ask if Fernandez was interfering with play. Three minutes of deliberation and nothing to address the key element as to why the goal should be disallowed for which offside.
Howard Webb explains the awarding of the goal in the Manchester derby and how the VAR review didn’t lead to the right outcome

🎙️ Zlatan Ibrahimović on Slaven Bilić:
"I wish Slaven all the best. He was a great player. He is a great coach. But what I've come to know most about him now is that he's a great person.
And when you have that combination, it's incredible, because success is the only thing ahead of you.
I'm pretty sure he will have success with the Croatian national team."

This tweet from @SuellaBraverman overstates the risk and turns a real but contained incident into political theatre. A large number of people, mostly Moroccan, did cross into the Spanish enclave of Ceuta over a couple of days. More than 70 people tragically died in the process. By the time the tweet was posted, the majority had already returned to Morocco (within 48 hours) after Spanish authorities intervened. The situation has largely stabilised. Linking that short-lived event directly to a new route into Gibraltar and then on to the UK is a significant stretch. Ceuta is not a stepping stone to the Rock. Getting from there to Gibraltar or mainland Europe is not straightforward, and the idea of an immediate pipeline to Britain does not match the geography or how the episode actually unfolded. It is perfectly fair to raise questions about secondary movements and border risks. Inflating a largely reversed, contained incident into an urgent national threat goes further than the facts support.
With tens of thousands of migrants illegally entering Spain, there is a risk they could find routes into Gibraltar and travel through Europe and head towards the UK.
Spain has already granted amnesties to illegal migrants and this is encouraging more to come.
The UK Government must urgently set out its response to these risks, the discussions it's having with European cities and the actions it will take.

The World Cup is not a private-equity toy to be polished, packaged and sold.
A body created to protect the game has no right to auction pieces of it to the highest (and best-connected) bidder. Infantino was elected promising to clean FIFA up, this is the opposite.
UEFA got it right: this crosses a line football’s institutions must never cross.
It is not FIFA’s to sell.
Say no. Protect the game.
This 👊👊👊
Let me say this very directly.
Football does not belong to investors. It belongs to the people who fill the stands and who stand on the touchline week in, week out, rain or shine.
The World Cup is not a product. It is the greatest competition in world sport, and it was never anyone's to sell. Dress the deal up however you like. Once you have sold a piece of it, you have sold out.
Football belongs to the fans. It always has, and it always will.
