We’ve selected @Hashlock_ as KRON’s covenant audit team! KRON will undergo a comprehensive covenant audit conducted by two senior auditors, with 14 business days of active review. We have agreed on the terms, and the paperwork and technical handover are now underway. I’ve been committed to having KRON’s covenants properly audited since well before mainnet. It took much longer to reach this point than I wanted, but we’re finally here, and we have the KRON community to thank for it. KRON is built differently from most projects. Its covenants are written in Silverscript and compiled into native Kaspa script, with no VM in between. The compiler’s output is therefore part of the security boundary. We needed auditors who could review both the covenant logic and the compiled artifacts that will actually execute under Kaspa consensus. We evaluated five proposals, narrowed them to two finalists, and spent the past week refining the scope. We ultimately selected the most comprehensive engagement offered. What the audit includes - 14 business days of active review by two senior auditors. - Two complementary areas of expertise: - Covenant and transaction-layer analysis, including entrypoints, authorization, state transitions, and the movement of funds. - Compiled-output and consensus-level analysis below the source-code layer. - Compiled-artifact review across five defined targets. - Independent reproduction of our covenant build using our pinned compiler commit, confirming that the auditors produce the same bytes we do. - Two complete review rounds after we implement the findings, included in the engagement. - A contractual delivery commitment. - KRON’s right to publish the full final report. - Clear reporting of which entry-points were verified at the compiled level and the depth of that verification. “We were audited” can mean many different things. When this process is complete, you’ll be able to see exactly what was reviewed and how deeply. We’re keeping the auditors’ identities private until the engagement is formally executed. Once we’re able to announce them, we will. Together, they bring strong experience across both layers that matter for KRON. The current schedule is approximately three weeks from kickoff to initial findings. We will then implement the necessary fixes, complete both review rounds, and publish the final report in full.
