1. Helldivers switches to Easy Anti Cheat.
2. immediately, unmodded divers can't run the game due to either being locked out for no perceivable reason or the game crashing on startup.
3. those who CAN get in report terrible preformance, which for many also leads to crashes
4. adding EAC also basically curbs any progress on Helldivers 2 being playable on Steam Decks, because EAC hates Proton.
5. on top, many report that EAC is preventing Crossplay from working.
6. Arrowhead also avoiding saying how the most downloaded mods were QOL fixes like Hellpod Steering or Armor Transmog. or how they talked about mods in the past, and in the same update, didn't implement any long awaited QOL fixes (that the mods fixed in a week with AI, that they've "been working on" for 2+ years)
AND DESPITE ALL OF THIS!
where I gave them a week upon hearing about it this morning at about 6:30AM, modders and hackers already bypassed EAC within 4 hours of it's launch. because it's EAC.
good fuckin job Arrowhead, even your own discord is flaming you for this.

Exactly what this tribe denies from us.
Ethnostate is the absolute best thing in the world. Never let anyone tell you otherwise, accept no substitute.

Nexus Mods has issued an informal warning to the creator of the Mags Beep Bop Carter mod for Gears of War: E-Day after they shared alternative download links following the mod’s removal.
The creator pointed people towards sites like Ayaka Mods and DEG Mods, where the mod is available. Nexus Mods says directing users to external sites hosting content that violates its rules, including content it cannot legally host itself, is prohibited.
“There is a reason our filters catch those sites. Ayaka Mods hosts content that in suitable under our Terms of Service and illegal content under the UK Online Safety Act.
We've issued an informal warning just to let you know to avoid this in future. It's not publicly recorded and we have no plans to take any further action.”
Ayaka is just the better mod site at this point. Nexus has fucked over so many mods it’s insane, and they’ll keep doing it.
🚨 JUST NOW 🚨
NexusMods removed the Gears of War: E-Day mod that turns Mags Carter into a droid without a warning.
It replaced nearly 3,000 of her voice lines with beeps, whistles, and robotic noises. They called it “discrimination.”
No reason was given for the explanation. They were taken down and went silent.
The mod is still available on AyakaMods.

"You're going to shoot a paraplegic man in a wheelchair?"
Keep in mind that this NINE-MONTH pregnant mother, Pvt. Francheska Velez, was on the ground in a fetal position, screaming “My baby! My baby!” when he stood over her and put a bullet through her chest.
Oh, and he's in a wheelchair b/c of the injuries he sustained from return fire after he had killed his victims.
So, yes. You're damn right we're going to shoot that MTHFKRing monster straight through his putrid MTHFKN heart with multiple rounds of hot lead... and we're going to celebrate it being publicly broadcast.
Hope that helps.

If you hate zombies but love RTS games and pixel art, Project Alive (@ProjectAliveDev) might be for you.
It's fast, chaotic and immediately readable, with that kind of pixel-art style that makes everything pop.
