Two is a company, three is a crowd! Winning back-to-back-to-back Gold Shovels for our state is proof of the successful strategic approach @GovLauraKelly's administration is taking on how Kansas does business, and we’re not slowing down.

Excellent point aside from the fact that it is objectively wrong according to actual data we have on the matter.
When open scoring has been used in the past, it did NOT result in coasting or timidity. But hey, let’s all make baseless assumptions instead of going with the facts.
Andy Foster, executive director for the California State Athletic Commission, tells @arielhelwani he is not in favor of open scoring 🚫 #TheMMAHour
"If the fighter knows that they’re up... a lot of times they’ll coast that last round."

Nothing but positive feedback from all at Invicta. I'm for anything that puts some of the control back into the athlete’s hands. It doesn’t solve all problems, but still a valuable tool for an athlete. Knowledge is king & using it to make adjustments in real-time is priceless

KANSAS had more capital investment by businesses per capita than any state in the nation last year. Proud to stand beside overall winner #TX in receiving the #GovernorsCup for economic development success in 2021. We’re just getting started. #ToTheStarsKS bit.ly/3Mklwfm

There's basically no reasonable argument against open scoring in MMA.
Imagine watching an NFL game and having someone be like, "who's winning?" and the response is, "I THINK the Patriots but who knows?! Isn't that exciting?"

Cannot overstate how important it is both for the Unified Rules and other rulesets that a state commission is this willing to embrace rule innovation, modernization or even attempts at improvement. That’s true even if the attempt shows the rule change is no good.

Excellent, glad to hear it. Hopefully more states follow suit after Kansas' shift to open scoring. Colorado is doing the right thing here.

Just doing a cross jurisdictional review about how un-unified the ‘unified’ rules of MMA are. The answer is very.
