We sank our teeth into the 1994 cult classic BLOODLUST: SUBSPECIES III, and let’s just say things got a little chaotic with @K_imbot. Three voices. One vampire flick. Absolute division. pod.fo/e/4429fb

A special guest for our latest edition of 106 Diaries, with pantomime villain Neil Warnock giving us an outsiders perspective on Steve Coppell's dominant side from 20 years ago. Neil's Sheffield United were the closest to the Royals, but finished 16 points behind in second place. Read the EFL legend's thoughts hereπŸ‘‡ readingfc.co.uk/news/2026/ap…

Super sad news ❀️
We are saddened to hear that former Royal Borislav Mihaylov has passed away aged 63. A legendary figure in Bulgarian football, Boris arrived at Elm Park for a club-record fee in 1995 and made 24 appearances for the club. Our thoughts are with his friends and family at this difficult time. Once a Royal, always a RoyalπŸ’™

Correction: it was a peanut butter and raisin sandwich. I thought he had made one raisin sandwich and one peanut butter sandwich.

Big news! I'm hosting a new European Film Club at the wonderful Kino-Teatr in St Leonard's. The inaugural film is Breathless, on Thursday 2 April. Yes, I will mention the Richard Gere version. Come down.

The discourse around Emerald Fennell's "Wuthering Heights" is so interesting to me. It feels like it could be a sequel to GDT's Frankenstein in some ways: Elordi's Heathcliff is even called a monster in it. She treats the source novel in a similar way to GDT but gets vilified...

...in an entirely more vitriolic way than GDT. "Wuthering Heights" has Fennell's strong personal voice and is stripped back, camp, and unsubtle like her other films. It also asks us to examine the state of cinema today, and is also a film about women for women.

It is a more interesting, relevant, needle-moving, and salient film than the overblown and forgettable Hamnett, too. And yet that is getting nominated for awards all over. Fascinating!
