Congrats to the NFL Hall of Fame class of 2026 Pay attention young athletes! Two great lessons can be learned from these all time greats. While coaches and parents may pressure you to specialize in one sport don’t listen to them! Be an athlete not a specialist. While you may be tempted to transfer for a better opportunity or a guaranteed starting job….get better where you are and make your TEAM better! I give you Exhibits A, B, C, D, E Drew Brees played varsity football, basketball, and baseball at Westlake High School Adam Vinatieri lettered in wrestling, basketball, track, and soccer at Rapid City High School Luke Kuechly played football (LB, TE, and S) and lacrosse at St Xavier Larry Fitzgerald played football, basketball, and ran track and field at Academy of Holy Angels Roger Craig played football, wrestled, and ran track and field at Central Davenport High School Be an athlete, not a specialist!!
