Remembering Emiliano Sala & David Ibbotson 4 years on from the crash that killed them. 2 men I’d never met but who I came to know through making Transfer: The Emiliano Sala story. Thinking of their family, friends, Cardiff & Nantes fans today. “For the victory, always”, Carquefou

FC Nantes fans singing for Emiliano Sala in the 9th minute - he was their number 9. “He’s the Argentine who never gives up”, they’re singing. It’s nearly 4 years since his plane crashed enroute to Cardiff. So good to hear his name still resonating around the Beaujoire.
My brilliant colleagues @andypfry and @MariaDavid99 made a superb podcast called Aberfan: Tip Number 7 on this horrendous tragedy. It’s incredibly moving and essential listening;

Last week, on the recommendation of one of our followers, I took the time to hear this Podcast series. Great investigation work by @KThomasNews on the (unsafe) world of grey charters, where profit takes over passenger safety. Well worth to listen! bbc.co.uk/programmes/p0cqr5c…
