Neither starting pitcher had it, as Kerry Wood gave up a 3 run homer in the 1st and Mark Redman gave up a 2 run homer to Wood in the 2nd and a 2 run homer to Moises Alou in the 3rd to put the Cubs up 5-3. Marlins manager Jack McKeon pulled Redman and went to Brad Penny and Josh Beckett, while Dusty Baker never even warmed up Matt Clement or Carlos Zambrano and left Wood in too long and went to his beleaguered bullpen as Wood and the pen gave up 6 unanswered runs as the Cubs magical season came to an end
