VERY SPECIAL NEWS! The King Center is proud to announce A'ja Wilson as the 2027 recipient of the Center’s BELOVED COMMUNITY YOUTH INFLUENCER AWARD. Join us in celebrating A’ja as we present her with the award at the 2027 MLK, Jr. Beloved Community Awards in Atlanta on Saturday, January 16, 2027. Stay tuned for more information on how you can attend and watch the Awards. The BELOVED COMMUNITY YOUTH INFLUENCER AWARD recognizes individuals whose influence helps inspire, shape, and advance a more just, humane, equitable, and peaceful world for the next generation. To be a champion for humanity is to recognize that our influence is bigger than our accomplishments. It is to use our platform to lift others, open doors, inspire possibility, and help shape a better future. And when it comes to being an MVP for youth, A’ja Wilson is showing us what that looks like. A’ja is celebrated around the world for what she does on the basketball court. But her influence reaches far beyond the game. Through the A'ja Wilson Foundation, A’ja is helping young people, particularly young girls navigating dyslexia and other challenges, recognize their worth, develop confidence, overcome stigma, and understand that their challenges do not define their possibilities. Her commitment to education, mentorship, compassion, inclusion, and creating spaces where young people can thrive reflects the kind of influence that can change lives. From basketball courts to classrooms, from young girls finding their voice to young people around the world watching her lead, A’ja Wilson is demonstrating that true influence is about more than being seen. It is about what we help others see in themselves. We are excited to celebrate A’ja Wilson as an MVP not only in basketball, but in her commitment to young people and to a future where every child has the opportunity to know their worth and reach their full potential. 🏀 A’ja Wilson - 2027 BELOVED COMMUNITY YOUTH INFLUENCER AWARD RECIPIENT Congratulations, A’ja! #AjaWilson #BelovedCommunity #TheKingCenter #MLK #YouthInfluencer #WNBA @WNBA @LVAces
