It has come to notice of Kolkata Police that a highly false and misleading thumbnail/ news was aired through social media handles of R Bangla connecting name of Ld. Commissioner of Police Kolkata with an alleged land scam in Anandapur Kolkata.
The fact of the issue is that Enforcement Directorate had recently communicated further developments in the ongoing investigation to Kolkata Police, pursuant to which the process of further investigation was being duly undertaken under the supervision of the Ld. Commissioner of Police, Kolkata.
In these circumstances, the reporting, without ascertaining the correct factual position, is wholly irresponsible, unfortunate and unbecoming of a National broadcaster and has caused unwarranted prejudice to the reputation and credibility of the Ld.
