Rare tornado. Satellite tornado near Braman, OK on Thursday. Video at 350% speed for 20 sec length. I only recall a satellite tornado simultaneously rotating around a strong dominant tornado 2 other times in OK: May 3, 1999 near Chickasha and May 10, 2010 near Lake Thunderbird.

We now have our first Atlantic basin hurricane of 2026, and it has broken the record for the latest hurricane to form in the season. Isaias is now a Category 1 and will likely strenthen as it makes landfall on the Gulf Coast Friday evening. #HurricaneIsaias

Tornado warnings continue in the Texas Panhandle this evening. The storms are moving toward Western OK, however conditions do not appear to be as unstable or favorable farther east. Watching trends closely. Tropical environments can overperform sometimes. #okwx #koco5

Only 1 Mesonet sensor hasn't recorded triple digits today. Kingfisher gets the prize with a whopping 112° measured in the shade. This definitely qualifies as the dog days of summer. #okwx #koco5

The record high for today in Oklahoma City was 104, set in 1918. At 2:00, it was 106, and we will likely aren't done heating. Wichita Falls and Lawton have already reached the 106-108 range, but each will have to work to reach their record of 111 (2023 and 2024, respectively).

Video from Anna Johnston in Spokane, Washington shows traffic jammed up as residents continue to evacuate due to the Old Trails Fire. The fire continues to spot and grow due to very strong winds. The Dwight Merkel outdoor Sports complex that was full for Saturday activities has been forced to evacuate. Evacuations now run as far north as Rutter Parkway. This is a wildland urban interface nightmare. The fire is over 2,000 acres.

Quick edit showing some of the intense moments today while documenting 8 tornadoes in northern Illinois into Indiana. Massive shoutout to @skydrama for nailing the forecast in the warm sector. Hands down the craziest tornado outbreak I've ever documented. Full video will be released in the near future on the @thestormreel YouTube page. #ilwx #inwx #tornado #outbreak

First, credit to the Spurs. They made the big plays down the stretch in the 4th with some clutch 3s. Still proud of our team. Great season for the @okcthunder battling through a lot. Time to get some rest, get healthy, and be ready to go next season. As always, #ThunderUp

Ngl, never been a huge fan of Draymond, but for anyone who thinks they know more ball than him, you might want to brace yourself.. It’s past time for the SGA hate to stop, especially from people who should know better.
Draymond on SGA's Foul-Baiting And Flopping “Shai, you've reached a new level of greatness my man... you got sports media coming out and talking about what they don't like about your greatness, as if Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is running up and down the court with the whistle in his mouth calling a foul for himself... you all think the NBA is that easy to where this guy just flops and goes to the free throw line and he becomes the back to back MVP? We really gonna dumb the NBA down to that?”

If you listened to the pundits after game 4 the Thunder were done and the Spurs were already crowned. But the champs had something to say about that tonight with action on the court where it matters most. Now they have 2 chances to close it out and head back to the Finals.
