Birthday binary code bracelets with Nixon’s 3rd graders was the absolute highlight of my day! 🤩 Ss chose 2 different colors to represent 0 and 1. Then, we translated our birthdays into binary code, and turned them into bracelets with colored beads! #CSforALL #CSEdWeek

Telling time with 1st grade! Ms. Quinn’s students are rockstars. We made a class book showing what we might do at different times throughout the day ⌚️⏰I’m pretty sure @BookCreatorApp is their favorite app now 🤩

3rd grade is solving 3 digit problems with ozobot! Ss roll dice to randomly make their numbers. Then, we added u-turn and speed codes on the map. Lastly, Ozobot drove around the mat and created our problems for us to solve! 🤖 @Ozobot

2nd grade has already caught the BUZZ 🐝! Ss wrote sequences of events to help Bee Bot sort odd and even numbers. We used 20-sided dice and the plow attachment to move the dice to the correct side #coding #CSforAll

4th grade is using @BookCreatorApp to showcase Virginia’s geography, products and industries! 🐄🍎🚢

Back in classrooms!! We used @BookCreatorApp with Ms. Chua’s 3rd graders last week. Ss competed a teacher-created template on animal adaptations 🦒🦓 🦔 and researched some animals further using #PebbleGo and #WorldBookOnline! 📖@CapstonePub @worldbookinc

1st grade wrapped up the year with @ScratchJr ! We created underwater worlds and beach scenes to kick off summer ☀️🌊 Ss added at least 3 characters and made them move. Lots of us chose to use the repeat 🔁 block to keep them moving forever! #coding

Collaborating with Ms. Jordan and working with her 3rd graders is always a blast 😄 Ss reviewed area and perimeter throughout the hall with a self-checking QR code activity. Quick, super easy to put together and fun!!
