My salute to the Indian pilot Captain Smit Machchhar for his extraordinary bravery.
Despite being stabbed and seriously injured, he fought back, resisted, opened the cockpit door, and enabled passengers and crew to overpower the attacker ā preventing a catastrophic mid-air disaster.
He saved the lives of 174 people, including Israeli citizens and other nationals.
I wish Captain Machchhar a speedy and full recovery.
He is a true hero.

The real water reserve is beneath our feet. Soil has the capacity to hold 800% more water than all the rivers put together. But that potential can be realized only when the land has substantial native vegetation in the form of trees, bushes, summer crops, or ground cover that enriches the soil organic content. It is not just about building more dams to store more water. The biggest dam on the planet is the Soil. āSg #SaveSoil

Shalimar (1978) was one of Bollywoodās most ambitious experiments a big-budget international-style thriller with Dharmendra, Zeenat Aman, Shammi Kapoor, Rex Harrison and John Saxon.
The story revolves around the mysterious Shalimar diamond and a group of thieves invited to a remote island by the wealthy Sir John Locksley. Each guest has a motive, while the real challenge is to discover who can steal the priceless diamond.
The film had everything on paper: a huge budget, international actors, glamorous locations, action, suspense, romance and an excellent musical album by R. D. Burman.
Songs like āHum Bewafa Hargiz Na Theā and āMera Pyar Shalimarā remain memorable even decades later.
The film also tried something unusual for Hindi cinema at the time ā combining Bollywood stars with Western actors and presenting the story with a James Bond-style international flavour.
But despite the scale and ambition, Shalimar failed at the box office.
Its complicated plot, uneven execution and attempt to balance too many elements reportedly made it difficult for audiences to connect with the film.
A fascinating case of a movie that had the budget, stars, music and ambition but somehow missed the mark.
What do you think went wrong with Shalimar?

According to my astrological research, the *Kaal Sarp Dosh* can be remedied by wrapping seven-colored rice, white sweets, black sesame seeds, and white flowers in a red cloth and offering them at a temple of Lord Shankar three times a year.

If your belly won't budge, it's cortisol.
If your sex drive's gone, it's cortisol.
Here's how to fix all 3 at once:

For the past few days, the entire Isha community has been living with a heaviness that is difficult to explain to anyone outside it.
The Ishanga leading the group of 77 was my Shoonya teacher. I had friends, people I deeply care about in other groups.
This personal connection brought the tragedy unbearably close. But even without it, the people who were at the immigration centre in Gyirong would not have felt like strangers. Most of us may never have met them, spoken to them or even seen their faces. Yet, from the moment we heard that they remained unaccounted for after the devastating flash flood, they felt like our own people.
Like members of our own family.
Some within the community had relatives or friends travelling with other Isha groups. They waited anxiously for messages saying they were safe. Every delayed call brought fear. Every update was read and reread. Every uncertain piece of information carried enormous weight.
And then there was the concern for Sadhguru.
He was still in Tibet, with roads blocked, communication disrupted and the situation changing constantly. The fear for his safety felt deeply personal. It felt as though our own father or mother was standing in a dangerous place while we were far away, unable to do anything.
According to Isha Sacred Walks coordinator Maa Gambhiri, Sadhguru and over 700 Isha participants were still in Tibet. He wanted a safe land route to be secured for them. He also wanted to reach the affected area and assist in every way possible.
The original update said that, of the 21 groups, 495 people had already returned safely, 743 remained in Tibet, 148 were in Nepal, 77 had been at the immigration centre and three volunteers were in Timure.
To the world, these may be numbers in a news report.
To Ishas, every number is a person.
Someoneās spouse. Someoneās parent. Someoneās child. Someone who sat beside us in a programme. Someone who volunteered with us. Someone who walked the same path.
A Gurubhagini or a Gurubhrata.
Many people today may not understand these words. Perhaps even we do not use them often. But we have definitely imbibed their essence. During moments like this, it becomes visible. We may come from different countries, speak different languages and have completely different lives, but the connection is real.
This is when the meaning of community becomes apparent.
It is easy to celebrate community during programmes, festivals and joyful moments. Its real strength is revealed when tragedy strikes. It is seen when people pray for those whose names they do not know. When volunteers work without rest. When families comfort one another. When thousands of people wait together for one hopeful update.
Perhaps this is what it truly means to experience the world as one family.
It cannot remain a beautiful idea meant only for good times. It must mean that another personās pain can enter our heart, even when that person is unknown to us.
For the past few days, the entire Isha family has carried this fear, grief and helplessness together.
We continue to hope. We continue to pray. We stand with every person and every family affected by this tragedy.
Because when a community truly becomes a family, no oneās suffering remains somebody elseās tragedy.

Never Forgive - Never Forget
When river cauvery & kollidam carried more blood than water !!
ā1323 Invasion: Ulugh Khan (Muhammad bin Tughlaq) invaded Srirangam ( TN) via water while camping in Samayapuram, intending to destroy the temple and idols.
āSacrifice of 12,000 Vaishnavas: Unprepared devotees held off the invasion and gave their lives in massive numbers along the Kaveri and Kollidam rivers so that sages like Swami Vedanta Desikar and Pillai Lokachar could safely evacuate the deity (Utsavamurthy) and sacred scriptures.
ā40 Years in Exile: The sages continued worshiping the deity in hiding for 40 years until Hindu forces regained power and restored the deity to Srirangam.
ā
Srirangam remains the largest functioning temple today, and festivals like Panguni Uthiram can still be celebrated, because of this sacrificeāending with the call to
"Never forgive, never forget"
History may repeat if we appease & be secular!!!

Russia Proposes Direct Railway To India
russiaspivottoasia.com/russiā¦
Russia has proposed developing new rail connectivity to India, with multi-modal options available via Iran and Pakistan, and Uzbekistan, Afghanistan and Pakistan. Significant diplomatic efforts will need to be put in from both Moscow and Beijing to see these concepts come to fruition. But a failure to do so could also damage India and Pakistan's trade and energy supply chain capabilities.
