We just secured a settlement with Cloudera after it failed to treat U.S. workers fairly. We sued them in April and appreciate the resolution. All employers are on notice: conduct good-faith recruitment of U.S. workers — or face the consequences. @CivilRights will always defend the rights of U.S. workers!

Article I, Section 2, Clause 2 of the U.S. Constitution requires U.S. House Representatives must be U.S. citizens for at least 7 years before they can serve in the U.S. House.
There is a strong evidence Ilhan Omar lied about her age (17, instead of 18) to obtain derivative citizenship as a minor.
In fact, Omar's staff had her birth year changed in official records in 2019.
As the Washington Post reported:
"The library told The Washington Post on Tuesday that Omar’s staff had sought that change, saying at the time that it was in the process of correcting Omar’s birth year in various public sources."
washingtonpost.com/politics/…
There is also no official record her father even became a U.S. citizen.
It appears Ilhan Omar is not a U.S. citizen--thus, she is not qualified to serve in the House.
In addition to the DOJ and DHS investigations of Ilhan Omar, the U.S. House must open an investigation on her.

For too long, fraudsters have been gaming the H-1B visa system. Following our call for an investigation into H-1B visa fraud in North Texas earlier this year, the administration took action.
Now we are turning that momentum into hard legislation to protect American workers.

Here is what you do:
1: Open up your AI, tell it you want to write a comment to GET RID OF THE GRACE PERIOD and give it this link: regulations.gov/document/USC…
2: After the AI writes it, check it.
3: Go here and leave the comment: regulations.gov/document/USC…
🚨 25,376 PUBLIC COMMENTS ON TRUMP’S PROPOSAL TO END THE 60-DAY H-1B GRACE PERIOD.
An earlier independent analysis of 7,159 comments reported:
• 83.1% opposed eliminating the grace period.
• 14.2% supported eliminating it.
• 2.7% were neutral or unclear.
Now the total has grown to 25,376 comments.
We don’t yet know whether those percentages hold across all submissions. The earlier analysis has not been independently verified.
Under current rules, eligible H-1B workers who lose their jobs generally have up to 60 days to find another employer, change status, or leave the country.
The Trump administration wants to eliminate that grace period.
The public comment deadline is November 10.
If you believe American workers should come first, or you believe foreign workers deserve time to find another employer, this is your opportunity to make your position heard.
IMPORTANT: MAKE YOUR COMMENT COUNT.
Don’t submit generic comments about H-1B, OPT, immigration or American workers.
Keep your comment focused specifically on THIS proposed rule: eliminating the discretionary 60-day grace period.
• State whether you support or oppose eliminating it.
• Explain how the current grace period affects American workers, employers or the integrity of employment-based immigration.
• Share firsthand experiences, relevant data or specific examples.
• Identify the part of the proposal you’re addressing and explain your reasoning.
DHS specifically asks commenters to provide relevant information and supporting evidence wherever possible.
Don’t just debate immigration policy on X.
Submit an official public comment by November 10.

We said it on the record.
In September I filed a comment on DHS's 60-day grace period rule. The standard I asked for, in short:
• Capability first: named Americans in the same job, building the skill to stay
• Capacity on renewal: if the same seat keeps coming back for another visa, that's evidence the bridge was never used as a bridge
Now DHS has proposed removing automatic deference to prior approvals on H-1B, L-1 and other extensions.
That doesn't write our test into law. It does something that matters: a renewal no longer passes just because it passed before. Every extension stands on its own record.
That's the opening. If three years on a visa didn't build one American who can hold that seat, the renewal should have to answer for it.
Our comment and this rule point the same direction.
Comment on docket USCIS-2026-0529, due about Nov 13, and tell them renewals should build Americans.

H-1B reform needs your voice.
DHS and USCIS have a proposed rule, "Removing Deference to Prior USCIS Determinations of Eligibility," scheduled to publish in the Federal Register on Oct 14.
What it does:
• Removes 8 CFR 214.1(c)(5)
• USCIS would no longer have to defer to a prior approval when an H-1B, L-1 or other I-129 petition is extended
• Every extension stands on its own record
DHS's reasons: the burden of proof belongs on the petitioner, program integrity, fraud prevention, and protecting U.S. workers.
The same test we run on PERM ads applies here. If a seat is real, it should hold up to a fresh look.
Comments open Oct 14 for 30 days, due about Nov 13. Tell them you support it, feel free to add that it’s important to build capability and capacity as we reestablish the American system.

MASSIVE H1B Fraud Exposed BY ACCIDENT!
LIVE at 1 PM ET! youtube.com/live/pt7nrDCzPkQ
The Department of Homeland Security INTENDED to merely announce a comment period for an apparently modest change in an immigration regulation about extending H1B visas.
In the process of doing so, however, they also—apparently unintentionally--revealed the absolutely MASSIVE degree of H1B visa fraud—almost ENTIRELY from India—amounting to literally BILLIONS of dollars in wages being STOLEN from American workers.
Join me LIVE at Noon ET as I break it all down!

These cases run on tips.
DOL has at least 175 public H-1B investigations under Project Firewall. Later reports put the probe count near 200. Site visits follow the paper trail: wage theft, fake worksites, role mismatch, hidden PERM ads.
They do not wander around hoping to get lucky.
They follow reports.

🚨 JUST NOW: Trump Dept. of Labor IG Anthony D'Esposito just MIC DROPPED Microsoft and other tech companies who just got suspended from the PERM foreign labor program
"They are using the H-1B as a BUSINESS MODEL — and that's WRONG! THEY are taking American jobs away from American workers!"
"We [are] securing the BACK DOOR — people SNEAKING IN a different way to claim citizenship."
"There are PLENTY of people graduating schools and universities looking for a job. This is NOT a business model."
He's exactly right. The H-1B gets them in the door, and PERM is how they get a green card and stay for good!
For years these companies ran ads for jobs they never planned to give to Americans, then said no qualified Americans applied.
They laid off thousands of citizens, THEN HIRED THOUSANDS OF H1Bs.
FINALLY we are shutting it down and putting Americans first. That is exactly what I voted for 🇺🇸
🚨@USLaborIG: “This is an assault on the American worker.”

When a business can lie to the government and push American workers aside for cheaper labor, and the worst it faces is a $5,000 fine, many view that as the cost of doing business.
I introduced the H-1B Visa Fraud Crackdown Act, to increase penalties for willful H-1B violations, extend minimum sponsorship bans, and strengthen fines for immigration document fraud.

This week, I introduced the H-1B Visa Fraud Crackdown Act which would drastically increase monetary penalties for intentional H-1B violations by employers.
Earlier this year, I urged the Administration to investigate H-1B fraud in North Texas and I’m grateful for the action @DOLOIG has taken. Now, we need to make serious legislative reforms to stop the corruption and cheating that costs American jobs.

🚨 CONGRESS JUST INTRODUCED AN H-1B FRAUD CRACKDOWN BILL.
One penalty:
$5,000 -> $100,000
Another:
$35,000 -> $250,000
And employers found responsible for serious violations could face H-1B debarment lasting 5 or even 10 years.
Rep. Beth Van Duyne introduced the H-1B Visa Fraud Crackdown Act with five cosponsors.
The bill also dramatically increases penalties for immigration document fraud.
The $100,000 H-1B fee is being fought in court.
This is different.
This $100,000 penalty would be aimed at employers that actually violate the H-1B rules.

#BREAKING: EEOC sues an IT firm for favoring H-1B workers over Americans.
Anti-American discrimination isn’t hypothetical. Recent @USEEOC cases show American workers being targeted, denied opportunities, and treated worse because of their American national origin. Under Chair @AndreaLucasEEOC’s leadership, the EEOC is taking decisive action to fight back.
In New Mexico, the EEOC alleges American construction workers at ATG were harassed by coworkers who were Mexican nationals, including through anti-American slurs, harassment for not speaking Spanish fluently, and even having their tools taken away. According to the lawsuit, one American worker was fired the very next day after speaking up.
In Colorado, the EEOC’s lawsuit against Triad Solution Services and related companies claims qualified American applicants were shut out of janitorial jobs — even while the companies were actively hiring and favoring workers from Latin America.
American workers have rights — and the EEOC is fighting to protect them.
If you believe you’ve been discriminated against because you’re American, contact the EEOC. We’re here to help, and we will continue fighting anti-American discrimination wherever we find it.
