From classrooms to hostels, we at KIIT took mental health awareness directly to where our students study, live and connect. Our week-long World Mental Health Day 2026 campaign reached an estimated 3,000–4,000 students across 40+ schools and hostels, promoting open conversations about mental well-being and encouraging students to seek support when needed. Led by the University Student Counselling Cell (USCC), the initiative went beyond classroom talks and auditorium events to engage students in their everyday spaces. We at KIIT are pleased to share that the KIIT School of Rural Management (KSRM) successfully organised an International Training Programme on Developing Managerial Skills for Agricultural Cooperatives and Rural Financing Institutions in collaboration with the National Cooperative Union of India (NCUI) and the Centre for International Cooperation and Training in Agricultural Banking (CICTAB). The programme brought together 27 participants, including nine international delegates from Nepal, Bangladesh, The Gambia, Liberia and Mauritius, fostering cross-cultural learning and international knowledge exchange on cooperative development and rural financing. Featuring expert-led sessions, country paper presentations and field visits, the programme explored key areas such as cooperative governance, leadership, business planning, credit risk management, digital transformation and financial technologies. Participants also gained practical insights into grassroots cooperative operations, digital record-keeping and rural payment systems through visits to cooperative institutions in Odisha.

We at KIIT are committed to promoting legal awareness, protecting the rights of children with disabilities, and fostering an inclusive society. The Legal Services Clinic of our School of Law organised a Legal Awareness Camp at Ashraya – The Shelter, Cuttack, focusing on the legal rights, statutory safeguards, and government welfare schemes available for children with disabilities. Our faculty members and student volunteers interacted with the teachers and students, discussing inclusive education, accessibility, and the effective implementation of welfare provisions. The visit also offered our students an opportunity to better understand the needs and abilities of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities while connecting classroom learning with meaningful community engagement. Through this initiative, we reaffirm our commitment to legal literacy, social responsibility, and the promotion of dignity, equality, and inclusion for all.

We at KIIT witnessed an incredible turnout of 400+ participants at Kizuna Film Fest, organised by Kizuna – The Japanese Society of KIIT, under the Department of Language & Literature, School of Liberal Studies. From anime screenings and interactive quizzes to Japanese music, movie discussions, exciting prizes, and a lively photo booth, the festival brought together anime enthusiasts and Japanese culture lovers for an afternoon of fun, learning, and cultural exchange. A vibrant celebration of Japanese pop culture, shared passions, and the spirit of togetherness!

Highlighting the rich expertise across both institutions, he outlines collaborative opportunities in research, innovation, and skills to solve critical global challenges in health, AI, and sustainability.

We at KIIT signed an MoU with ILOGITRON Technologies Private Limited, strengthening our commitment to industry–academia collaboration, innovation, and technology-driven learning. We at KIIT-DU inaugurated the IET–KIIT Bhubaneswar Student Chapter under the IET Kolkata Network, in association with the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET.) The inauguration was accompanied by a technical seminar on Smart Cities, featuring expert discussions on smart energy, smart governance, technological innovation, and sustainable urban development. The initiative will provide our students with opportunities to connect with global professional networks, gain industry insights, explore emerging technologies, and develop skills for the engineering challenges of tomorrow. Through this initiative, we continue to strengthen industry–academia collaboration and promote experiential learning, innovation, and engineering excellence.

We at KIIT celebrated the Republic of Guinea's 68th Independence Day with a vibrant showcase of the country’s rich cultural heritage and national pride. From traditional music and dance to a fashion parade celebrating Guinea’s diverse regional attire, our Guinean students brought their culture and traditions to life. The celebration also featured the national anthem, student addresses, a theatrical video, and a cake-cutting ceremony. The occasion celebrated unity, strengthened cross-cultural friendships, and reflected KIIT’s commitment to fostering a vibrant, inclusive international community.
